Video: The Troubling Trend of False Teaching in the Church
PatriotandLiberty ^ | 2023 | Midwest Christian Outreach

Posted on 06/24/2023 1:27:22 AM PDT by spirited irish

The worldview of many who attend church is largely shaped by outside influences through a sort of intellectual osmosis. Information comes largely unfiltered through books, magazines, radio, television, social media, and peer groups. Pastors often have limited opportunity to influence the worldview and biblical literacy of the sheep they are attempting to shepherd. For example, the late Gwen Shamblin, who was in over 60,000 churches through her Weigh Down Workshop, was published by Thomas Nelson and promoted by Christian media despite teaching salvation by works and denying the deity of Christ and the Trinity. The Enneagram was birthed in the occult and is embraced now by millions of Christians. The question is: how can evangelical media promote a biblical worldview and avoid aiding in the spread of false teaching unintentionally?

What you will learn: • How to identify narrative truth that is contrary to biblical truth • How Christian media can combat false teaching

There is no such thing as the *holy mother church*.

The church as presented in the Bible is all the believers in Jesus whenever and wherever they are and all believers rae referred to as saints.

Catholicism does not own those terms and has no right to co-opt them and redefine them and apply them to all as if Roman Catholicism is the be all and end all of Truth.

God’s word is Truth and anything that does not line up with it is not.

The Church is the Church.

The Church is not multifarious, but one.

The Church is holy.

The Church is universal.

The Church is apostolic.

Get with the Church, MM.

"I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me. "John 10:14, Douay-Rheims Bible

"I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me," John 10:14, ESV

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. John 10:14-15

Here we see the mutual knowledge of Christ and his own sheep, together with the mutual knowledge of Christ and the Father. Christ's personal knowledge of his sheep is that which comes into their consciousness. Thus his sheep know him to be Who he is... their Lord God.

And the thief on the cross, "said unto Jesus, Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom."— Luke 23: -I2.

And the Lord, knowing his conscious thoughts and his motives, that the thief feared Him and believed in Him, replied, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise” Luke 23:43

A former Hindu god-man figures among the Good Shepherd’s sheep. When Christ called him he left everything behind for his Shepherd and entered into a faithful Protestant Evangelical church.

Who among us will chide our Lord, saying, You made a mistake Lord, that sheep is not one of Yours because he was not a member of our particular church, which is the only way of salvation?

From the RCC to the Orthodox, Anglican, and Protestant, all are experiencing a falling away. that began as far back as the last days of the Medieval era.

Today, just as faithful RCC and Orthodox are demonized by heretical Progressives as ‘traditionalists,’ Protestant Evangelicals are demonized as “fundamentalists.” While Progressive heretics stand united against the faithful, the faithful do not stand together but apart, fighting among themselves, each claiming to be the one true way while forgetting that only the Good Shepherd is the One True Way.

Meanwhile, the lost look upon this disunity, fighting, and finger-pointing and want nothing to do with it. As some of them have said to me, each church, RCC, Orthodox, and Protestant claim to be the only way of salvation and say you’ll surely end up in hell unless you join our particular church.

Thank the Lord that He is the Good Shepherd Who knows the conscious thoughts and motives of His sheep and calls them by name from out of paganism, Luciferianism, Hinduism, Islam, and elsewhere. Thank God that He is the Judge and not man who would consign everyone else to hell.

You are correct.

Nobody ever claimed the Law or the Ten Commandments were abolished.

What is stated is that we are under grace for salvation, not ritualistic law keeping.

Galatians 2 & 3 deal with that pretty clearly.

And there's this....

Acts 15:22-29Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers, with the following letter: “The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings. Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth. For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.”

Law keeping neither saves you nor keeps you saved.

Galatians 3:10-11 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”

You stated that only the “unsaved” are responsible to keep God’s 10 commandment law. So for Christians, there certainly were abolished.

Well, since it’s pretty obvious that the Roman Catholic organization is NOT holy by any stretch of the imagination, that’s quite the absurd claim that it’s a *holy mother church*.

Thank you for finally clarifying what you mean by “the church”.

No sale, but at least now we have truth in advertising!

Holy Mother Church is like oxygen.

It’s all around you, MM.

It’s as if you don’t want to see it, or acknowledge it.

This Church:

Revelation 12:17And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

“I know evangelicals who think the Ten Commandments were abolished at the cross. They actually don’t believe in the Ten Commamdments anymore all because of the Sabbath”

We don’t “believe” the Ten Commandments in the context of Jewish Law. Christ’s crucifixion put us under grace which replaced Jewish law.

However, we do believe the Ten Commandments as tenets of Christianity, as all except one were repeated in the New Testament. (The Commandment re Sabbath Day is not mentioned in the New Testament.)

Before Christ’s death, people were “saved” by faith in God and keeping Commandments. After Christ’s death, keeping the Law for salvation no longer was “a thing”.

Good video. He’s right, Christian and pagan practices can’t be blended. It’s dangerous to try.

“it’s pretty obvious that the Roman Catholic organization is NOT holy by any stretch of the imagination”

A glaring truth, right? Yet they persist.

When it comes to the art of brainwashing, the CIA could learn a few tips and tricks from the RC denomination.

There are evangelicals who worship on the Sabbath. In the town where my mom lives there’s a Seventh Day Baptist Church, and many congregations in that area of NYS. I don’t know how far that extends into other states.
