Is God a man, a woman, or a genderless force that cannot be identified by masculine or feminine traits? Society offers a range of ideas, but what do religious texts have to say about this immutable characteristic of God? Dennis Prager offers some insightful answers.

G-d gets referred to in the feminine as well in Judaism. Prager should know this if he’s Orthodox.
I am used to referring to God as a male. That was my upbringing and that feature makes it easier for me to perceive of God as a living presence.
That said, I would not want to get into a debate on this topic with any agnostic or atheist. I have no ‘proof’ of hs gender. All I have is my faith and my cultural customs that work for me.
Someone who considers themselves to be a Bible Scholar would probably be far greater prepared for any such a debate.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Not very ambiguous....
Jesus referred to God as HIS FATHER...Progressives feel Jesus is an idiot and only they can tell us what religion really is.....
God created man in HIS image. Man, created in His image.
Not hard to figure out. You start there and it’s really not hard to figure out. Only the delusional and evil try to make it out any different.
I'm not a Christian so I will defer to those who are, but I believe there is evidence to back up the position that the Holy Spirit in Christianity has a long tradition of being referred to as feminine.
We have the left that cannot even agree what a woman is and whether men can get pregnant. It’s a stupid discussion.
Yes, that was a tough one to figure out. Wisdom in proverbs 8:22 also points out that “I, wisdom, was with the Lord when HE began his work, long before HE made anything else.”
We’ll see who the real idiots are on judgement day and who has the last laugh.
God would have to be both male and female embodied in ONE - otherwise, He couldn’t have created the generic ‘man’ in His own image as male AND female.
This is a stupid argument.
Never in Scripture, though.

Philology is a fascinating study, and very useful to people who want to read - and presume to interpret - the Bible.
Well, I'm not Jewish and will defer to whomever...but I do believe the word for the spirit, in the original Hebrew -- breath of God, spirit -- was masculine, not feminine. Pretty sure in the Greek NT, the Holy Spirit is neuter.
Where is this tradition you refer to?
Basically, men's traditions are an enemy of God's word. "Babble"
Mark 7:13
making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do.
The Quran incorrectly claims that the Virgin Mary is part of the Christian Trinity, because Mohammed was not known for his reading skills and had no concept of the Holy Spirit, so he just took a guess. Or, he may have gotten the idea from a wayward sect of non reading Christians, or assumed, because Mary is the mom.
One thing that is referred to in the feminine in the Bible is the Church, as the bride of Christ, and Wisdom in prose, but not the Holy Spirit.
Jn 4:24
In the New Testament, He is very explicitly revealed as Father. In addition to this, Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity was unquestionably a male.
“God is pure spirit.”
I am always amazed at how far people take that, make God a spiritual blob, a nothingness, and make grandiose pronouncements about anthropomorphism.
I once bought a book by an author who had a PhD, ThD, and LLD, so I thought he would be worth my time. First off, he said that the verse about God making man in his image and likeness certainly did not mean that man was made in the image and likeness of God since God did not have a body. I think that is strange since God evidently thinks he has a body. He mentions his arms, hands, etc. In fact, he met up with the Israelites early on and it described his feet and the crystal support he was standing on.
Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father.”
Jesus had gender. When He was resurrected, He had the same body.
What Prager says in this video is nonsense.
