Holy God,
During this week before we celebrate our nation’s birthday, we think about the faithfulness You have shown America from its very beginning. Though we are commemorating our country’s independence, there is heaviness in our hearts for America because we know that as a nation, we have moved away from You. Lord, we were never supposed to be independent of YOU! Our churches have grown lukewarm, our government has usurped many of our freedoms, our schools have refused to allow Your mention, our culture has accepted behaviors that You despise, and the continual effort to remove Your Name and deny Your teachings marches on relentlessly. Father God, please lead us to repentance. Bind up the wounds in America and unite its people with a love and devotion for You. Set us free from all that separates us from Your truth. Please use all that has been intended for evil and work something good from it as only You can.
So often we try to be wise in our own eyes instead of trusting in You with all our hearts. So often we seek the ways of the world and the counsel of the mighty instead of the wisdom that is from everlasting to everlasting. Father, surely You are the answer to our struggling and divisiveness. We struggle because we have allowed the wisdom of this world to replace the true wisdom that can only come from You. How foolish we are to think that Your ways are outdated and Your truths no longer apply to our daily lives. Forgive us, Lord. We know that neither You nor Your truths ever change. Help us, Father, to stand firm on Your wisdom and truth all the days of our lives.
Lord, we thank You for the rally that former President Trump held in Ohio last night. Thank You for Your protection of this man and his family. Please continue to guide and direct his path, that he may please You in all of his ways. Father, we pray for repentance for elected officials who are participating in any form of evil toward America and her people. May Your light shine in the darkness toward all who oppose Your truths and may all who defend us dwell in the shadow of Your wings.
Blessed are You, our immortal, invisible, always wise God. We exalt Your Name forever and ever, and we thank You for being willing to share Your wisdom with us. Guide us, Great Jehovah, that we may honor and bless You as individuals and as members of this nation You have so richly blessed. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

” . . .Even as he has spent time in jail and continued to clash with local law enforcement, Pawlowski reported that business has gone on as usual at the Cave of Adallum. “The church never stopped meeting. Even though … we were not allowed to come, other pastors took over the church, so the church still goes.”
“This is what they don’t understand about Christianity, if one pastor is down, there’s plenty of others that will take his place,” he explained. “I have about 10 people that are in line to take over the church services. If one is arrested, then another will take over, if that person will get arrested, then another will take over.”
‘In good company’
Throughout the interview, Pawlowski repeatedly defended his actions: “I’m not afraid of what I believe in, the Bible is filled with people that have resisted authorities, evil authorities, from the very beginning to the very end.” He proclaimed that “I’m not ashamed of what of doing … because I do what my Bible tells me to do.”
Pawlowski acknowledged that actions of “hate” and “slander” “come with the territory” of living a life in accordance with the Bible. “I take the good, the bad and the ugly,” he added, vowing to continue fighting “evil laws” like other figures in the Bible, including Daniel and David. “I’m in good company,” Pawlowski declared.
The adverse treatment of Pawlowski has not gone unnoticed by religious freedom advocates in the United States. On Thursday, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., sent a letter to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom urging them to “consider adding Canada to the Commission’s Watch List.
Although Hawley did not mention Pawlowski by name, he did discuss the arrest of two other Canadian pastors, Tim Stephens and James Coates, for holding in-person worship services in violation of coronavirus worship restrictions as causes for concern. “I would expect this sort of religious crackdown in Communist China, not in a prominent Western nation like Canada.””

Heavenly Father, while this prayer list is for America, this pastor Artur Pawolwski is just north of us in Canada.
We pray and lift him and all of Your pastors up to, as they are also “first responders”. Protect, defend, bless, and succor him and his church, and let us all hold him up in prayer and send sustenance and be a part of this because we know we are next and in the crosshairs.
