Vatican sources suspect Pope Francis was distancing himself from CDF statement on same-sex unions in address
Was Pope Francis alluding to the recent statement of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith that said priests could not give blessings to same-sex unions because “God cannot bless sin,” when he spoke at the Angelus today, March 21? Informed sources in Rome told America they believe he was, but they did not wish to be identified since they were not authorized to comment.
They noted that when commenting on the Gospel of the day, which recounts that some Greeks wanted “to see Jesus,” Pope Francis said many people today also want to see, to meet and to know Jesus, and so “we Christians and our communities” have “the great responsibility” to make this possible by “the witness of a life that is given in service, a life that takes upon itself the style of God: closeness, compassion and tenderness.”
TOPICS: Apologetics; Catholic; Moral Issues
KEYWORDS: apostatepope; francischism; homos; rcc; twofaced
According to three sources, it was significant that Francis called on Christians and the church to give witness to Jesus “not with theoretical condemnations but with gestures of love” and that he speaks about “misunderstandings, difficulty or persecution or claims of legalism or clerical moralism” as “barren soil.”

Thanks Franky for the acknowledgement.

Nobody has been reading into America’s article on this thread. If there’s been any “stretching”, America is doing it.
Bergoglio is a Jesuit, America is published by Jesuits. Do the math.

Remember that one difference between Jesuits and Protestants is that at least the Protestants state that they are not Catholic.

So you don't fall prey to the propaganda whims of the leftist leaning liberal machinations....
This is what the Pope said:
” Pope Francis said many people today also want to see, to meet and to know Jesus, and so “we Christians and our communities” have “the great responsibility”....
(Albeit he was speaking to include others beyond the One True Holy Catholic Church as well)
This is what the misgudided folks at America Mag heard:
According to three (not one, or two BUT Three !ANONYMOUS) sources, it was significant that Francis called on Christians and the church to give witness to Jesus “not with theoretical condemnations but with gestures of love.”
So no where does the Pope say The Church is NOT part of Christianity as you would like to believe. And always remember, If not for the Church, there would not be anything called Christianity today... that's an undeniable fact.
So you see, the only thing "significant" of this magazine notation is that they are looking to bolster their agenda.... to deepen the confusion and contention that already exist within this Papacy... After all, the Pope's words simply appear to be re-counting Christ's top commandments.... very daring indeed...

Jesuits are communist. Marx, Stalin, Hitler, Fidel Castro are just a few taught by the Jesuits.

Read the article - it is bunk. A bunch of Jesuits reading what their interpretation of the Pope's words meant, especially not in English, with unnamed sources and the typical press bullcarp.
I personally thing Pope Francis has done a terrible job and should step down. That being said I'm not going to be just believe everything that comes out of America

I agree that America is really reaching here, BUT sadly I do predict that Bergoglio will sooner or later throw the CDF under the bus on this one. This is how it’ll likely do go down:
(1) Ladaria will be fired/retired/sidelined/transferred;
(2) Whispers will go out that Ladaria was canned because Humble Jorge was outraged at how the CDF somehow slipped a reactionary decree past him;
(3) Bergoglio will have a private audience with a gay couple who will leak details of their meeting at which the pontiff disavowed the CDF decree and imparted a personal blessing on them.

“This is really a stretch”
especially when you consider that the text of scripture never reveals whether Jesus ever agreed to speak with the Greeks. Which kind of blows this whole interpretation out of the water.

Read the article - it is bunk.Read Laudato Si, Amoris Laetitia, and Fratelli Tutti - it is bunk, all by another Jesuit.

I find this passage From C.S. Lewis very helpful in these trying times......
Granted, its from the 1940s... but it applies to today’s world as we are surrounded by constant Media propaganda
"Suppose one reads a story of filthy atrocities in the paper. Then suppose that something turns up suggesting that the story might not be quite true, or not quite so bad as it was made out. Is one's first feeling, 'Thank God, even they aren't quite so bad as that,' or is it a feeling of disappointment, and even a determination to cling to the first story for the sheer pleasure of thinking your enemies are as bad as possible? If it is the second then it is, I am afraid, the first step in a process which, if followed to the end, will make us into devils. You see, one is beginning to wish that black was a little blacker. If we give that wish its head, later on we shall wish to see grey as black, and then to see white itself as black. Finally we shall insist on seeing everything -- God and our friends and ourselves included -- as bad, and not be able to stop doing it: we shall be fixed for ever in a universe of pure hatred," - C.S. Lewis,
