For many people right now, the aftertaste of the 2020 presidential election is bitter. They feel that something is very wrong with our country. But what is it?
For current events, it may be useful to look through the eyes of an adversary that many thought had been vanquished: the USSR in the 20th century

Our children have been specifically targeted a century by our pubic schools, news, media, churches and now social media.
We had John Dewey’s early 1900’s Progressive (Marxist) anti-home schooling influence, followed by The Frankfurt School’s mid-1900’s social Marxist plan for children, then Hollywood’s 1950’s communist influences, then NEA’s No God push in our schools.
Then, the 1960’s CPUSA push of college youts for war protests, drug use and wanton fornication, then the 1980’s sitcoms ridiculing parents, then the 1990’s queer push, then the 2000’s self-esteem facade. In the 2010's, socialism is good.
Now, MSM, SJW groups and social media are pushing "social justice" and stirring them to riot and destroy -- the anarchy needed before stepping in as heros to "save America" (by electing Biden-Harris). Now, they're demonizing America-loving patriots as insurrectionists, to silence and isolate us.
He nailed it. He had no way to predict the USSR could fail.
We have literally switched sides with the USSR of the 1970s.
And that is why the left and the globalists hate Russia today so passionately.
Rebuilding churches the communists destroyed, ending adoptions to America because we wouldn’t refuse to stop homos from adopting, etc. Those are all good.
But the main tell that Russia left communism in their wake is that the neocons and democrats hate them passionately.
And now, here we are, with an authoritarian oligarchy. Aggressively expansionist, and a constant threat to peace. Our children and leaders are completely enthralled with Marxism, highly centralized power, censorship, everything is about revolution, mass indoctrination of children, imposed state atheism, unpersoning, treating dissent as a mental health issue, targeted murder and mass murder, etc.
Yesterday I was reading of serious proposals to nationalize all oil and gas in America.
We are now the USSR circa 1980. The only patriotic thing to do in America today is be an active dissenter.
The Europeans show no sign of going communist.
What they show signs of is continuing to slog along as welfare state capitalist countries.
Telling people that we must stop the Dems or else America will be socialist or communist is going to go in one ear and out the other of most Americans.
Even when Mitt ran on a platform of NOT being like Western Europe, that landed on deaf ears.
The message that actually won out was Trump's populist message which was similar to Reagan's and is why there was such as phenomenon of "Reagan Democrats".
Unfortunately the neocons grabbed hold of the Reagan administration and turned it into GOPe and Conservatism, Inc. which has left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of former Reagan Democrats.
Enough with the socialism/communism fearmongering.

It seems the axis of evil grows larger every day. Both foreign and DOMESTIC.

After being away from Universities for a while I went back in the 1990s for grad school. There was an absolute explosion in political correctness and wokeness. It felt like I had landed on another planet. This was the demoralization phase.
Sen. Ted Cruz once commented about the law school of a prestigious university he attended:
“There were more self-declared communists [in the faculty] than there were Republicans. … If you asked [them] to vote on whether this nation should become a socialist nation, 80 percent of the faculty would vote yes and 10 percent would think that was too conservative.”

It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Interestingly enough, a ruthless communist dictator, Joseph Stalin, echoed his point from another angle, “America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.”
