Another area of Scripture is the Victory of Calvary freed those in Paradise. Though the Blood of bulls and goats could not remove the stain of sin, it did however cover their sin until the appointed day when the Redeemer would come.

Was that a form of the rapture? If you say there is only one?

Ephesians 4:7-9
King James Version
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Paradise to this day remains empty.

And to further clarify, regarding “SOUL SLEEP” again, I would direct you to previous statements for clarity.

However, in your statements about one rapture...

The rapture and the resurrection are synonomous.

As with death, there is the first death and the second death.

For those that are without Salvation, there will be another resurrection and the sting of a second death. This will be at the end of the coming Kingdom Age. The White Throne Judgement. When those who died without Salvation in Christ are judged according to their deeds. Ie. False deities, religion, self righteousness, Faith in their own selves under Law , etc..... But most of all, having taken on another head.

As for only one rapture-resurrection, what about the resurrection of the 144,000 as well as the two witnesses during the tribulation period?

Matthew 25

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Midnight oil is not sold in stores.

Also if you do not have the Holy Spirit, you cannot purchase it.

This would represent the idea to get rid of your misbelieve and go purchase the truth via the blood of Christ. You purchase the blood of Christ by rejecting satan’s lies, and accepting Christ sacrifice.

Thus the blood will wash them clean and the Holy Spirit would indwell them so they too can then be invited to become a bride of Christ.

I should have added it I guess, for some reason it didn’t seem as important, but thanks be to God, your comment awakened me to the fact it is. So I will contemplate and meditate on it so I can be inspired for a better way to present it as I add it into the last section of my commentary on my blog.

Wait I really wish FreeRepublic had an edit button that would be usable firup to 10 minutes after we hit post. Then we correct things we post in a moment of hurting out the door.

As to your posting the Scripture about purchasing oil when it’s too late because the store is closed, well it’s too late for them to be saved by getting the Holy Spirit also. Thus the analogy still hold water.

Once you are dead, or if anyone uses the Rapture doctrine, once Christ arrives, it’s too late. You should already be prepared

As to your posting the Scripture about purchasing oil when it's too late because the store is closed...

I think your modifier order(s) unintentionally mis-described my post, so to clarify for anyone reading your reply...

I only posted the passage along with the comment that midnight oil is not sold in stores, not that the store was closed.

The scene in the parable takes place at midnight. For all I know, plenty of stores remained open in this parable. After all, in the living time of the present, the Amazon "mall" has everything to an extent, and is open 24/7. The door was shut while the five went to buy.

But back to the Spirit of God, even back to Gen 1:2, I get the sense that it was (and is) always "midnight" in David's house. :)

***

OKAY now this really is funny:

Just before I was about to hit "post", suddenly an amusing thought came to me that perhaps these foolish gals had headed over to BIG FIVE, and were caught in confusion about what to do with propane cylinders.

Hang with me, because what I did was glance over the Wikipedia page for BIG FIVE (because I just never know..)

I didn't know that these BIG FIVE people were owned by Leonard Green & Partners (LGP). There's a list on the page of acquisitions, including

"David's Bridal"

Well then into the rabbit hole, and it turns out that it's late. Too late!

"On November 17, 2006, David's Bridal was purchased by Leonard Green & Partners, on the same day that Federated also divested itself of After Hours Formalwear. On October 11, 2012, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice announced the completion of its acquisition of David's Bridal, Inc."

The foolish virgins simply weren't able to keep up with who had control of the wedding dresses:

"In January 2019, David's Bridal emerged from bankruptcy. The retailer is now owned by a group of lenders including Oaktree Capital Group.[3]"

Now where to? If they had been willing and able to go just a little further (which would have been proof that they had enough oil because it was of the midnight variety not sold in stores)...

Genesis 35:6-15

Mighty oaks from little acorns grow.

I suspect that the saying is "cognate" with having the faith of a mustard seed.

Have a great day!

:)

Thanks for clarifying. You remind me of me, the way I can end up down rabbit holes finding nuggets I never knew existed.

The Lord does have a funny bone, otherwise the Platypus would not be one of His creations. LOL

Yes, the stroke of midnight has been in progress long before Eve even began contemplating what the fruit would taste like. That contemplation in her head was Lucifer, who had began his evil deeds while still an angel of worship for God. Thus evil actually began in the realm of God's Kingdom.

I posted this to my fb page last night after reading. You may find it worthwhile when considering it's always been midnight.

The separation of Adam and Eve from Eden was a necessity. Thus God had to drive out man from the garden. Then He placed at the East of the garden a Cherubim and a flaming sword, to keep them from taking of the Tree of Life.

Even in their dark and trying hour, the unhappy pair were not allowed to mourn as those who have no hope. For long before God created them, He had foreseen their fall and provided the remedy for mankind's salvation.

Man's redemption was no afterthought to God. Instead it was perfect and complete in the mind of our Creator, long before the very foundation of the beginning of the ages.

God bless

Thanks.

There are actually a couple of age-old Jewish traditions/understandings within your quote.

Interesting.

I guess the many things I read creep into things I write without realizing it.

The Holy Spirit at work.

Thanks....
It’s a synopsis that has Boiled in my Head for Months and just recently could put it into a coherent sentence.
.

It answered the questions of “WHY” to me.
Lucifer the Perfect creature...
Man Made of dust...
Hell——
Perhaps you get the idea.
.
As a side is there access to the commentary about Jesus visiting the Temple when He was Twelve?
.
Thanks Again FRiend
