The Pope is well within his powers to say “he’s no Catholic” - though he’s still be a hypocrite for not calling out Pelosi or Reid or...
But not a Christian? He has no right to say that as a human and certainly none as the Pope - especially this Pope that deifies ungodly behavior.

What is wrong with this guy? Christians are being slaughtered in Africa and in the Middle East - not just persecuted, but slaughtered. Francis says nothing about that. Instead he rambles on about various social issues.

It certainly makes me regret having changed to Catholicism for my husband, who is from Quebec (everyone is Catholic here but they don’t attend church). I was raised Presbyterian.
I am Catholic and absolutely despise this so-called “Pope.” When I say despise, think of Saint Michael the Archangel’s feelings toward the devil. This “Pope” is a Satanic agent who disgraces Saint Peter and he is the total antithesis to everything Jesus stood for.
This board used to have an active, and rather strident, Religion forum. In the “Bad Old Days”, there was a Catholic poster who liked to say
“The Catholic Church has not survived this long by taken stands on things it knows it can not win.” If I remember right, that was on usury.
The RCC as an organization is for the organization, and not much else. Individual members, clergy, and bishops may be for Jesus, or for the devil, but the organization is for it’s own survival.
If I had to make a guess, someone has something on the pope or the Church as a whole. This is the payoff. By removing any stance for any sexual deviancy from the realm of the RCC, it is now fully converged.
And before the usual suspects chime in that this is not new, and has been the practice forever. Go bite a dog. The partners in the civil union are not staying home and baking potatoes, they are buggering each other. Then they are presenting themselves for communion and old Frankie said “That is just fine!”
So in the next five years you will see gay marriage in the church formally known as the RCC. And it will be celebrated as the doctrine that was known by all since the Apostles.

Out of curiosity I looked it up. There is simply no way to legally remove a pope. So Francis can go on saying crazy and dangerous things for years to come. No one can legally stop him.
But note that I said “legally” there. I’m guessing the Vatican has certain back-alley methods to “retire” a pope. That’s probably what happened to Benedict. That’s a story we’ll never know.
