Posted on 09/21/2020 7:27:42 AM PDT by Patriot777

This is part of my Biblical Devotional for today, September 21, 2020, taken from the NIV of the Holy Bible. God Bless you, beloved FReeper Friends.

TOPICS: Evangelical Christian; Theology
KEYWORDS: devotional; god; holyscripture; niv
John 7:37, "On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink."

Psalm 107:9, "...for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."

Colossians 3:2, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."

Jeremiah 32:39, "I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them."

Ezekiel 36:26, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

Psalm 25:8-10, "Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in His ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way. All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of His Covenant."

John 17:20-21, "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

Ephesians 4:1-6, "As a prisoner for the LORD, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one LORD, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says, "When He ascended on high, He took many captives and gave gifts to His people."

Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

2 Corinthians 12:10, "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Isaiah 49:5, "And now the LORD says--he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD and my God has been my strength."

2 Corinthians 12:9, "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Isaiah 27:5, "Or else let them come to me for refuge; let them make peace with me, yes let them make peace with me."

Psalm 55:22, "Cast your care on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken."

Genesis 49:24, "But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the mighty one of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the rock of Israel."

Genesis 32:26, "Then the man said, "Let me go, for it is daybreak." But Jacob replied, "I will not let you go unless you bless me."

I Samuel 17:45, "David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied."

Psalm 35:1-2, "Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. Take up shield and armor; arise and come to my aid."

Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Genesis 50:20, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

1 Corinthians 3:21-23, "So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future---all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God."

2 Corinthians 4:15-17, "All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

James 1:2-4, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

2 Corinthians 13:14, "Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice. Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All God's people here send their greetings. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

John 14:14-17, "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever---the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in the Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show (KJV, "manifest") myself to them."

John 16:13-14, "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you."

Thanks. There are some excellent verses in that collection, and show the unity and consistency of the Scriptures.
