I just remembered another cool thing about Bob. Whenever I visited Hawaii, I would buy him an “Aloha Shirt”. He wore them for his gigs as a sort of uniform. The best place to get shirts was at the head of Waimea Canyon Road on the island of Kauai. It was a little tiny shop, off the beaten path, with a great variety and better prices than Hilo Hatties.

It was not a REAL visit to Hawaii till I got Bob his shirt.
