This isn't God's works.

Your scripture is pretty good.

But don't be a false prophet.

Thanks for the post, I liked it.

It used to be that every misfortune was a cause for individual and collective moral reevaluation.

Isaiah 45:7
“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.”

Every misfortune IS a cause for individual and collective moral reevaluation.

Most people, however, are stone-deaf. But in the end, God will not be mocked.

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

(The last stanza of a prophetic poem by Kipling that may be found on my home page)

I AM aware that many object to the severity of my language; but is there not cause for severity? I will be as harsh as Truth, and as uncompromising as Justice. On this subject I do not wish to think, or speak, or write, with moderation. No! No! Tell a man whose house is on fire to give a moderate alarm; tell him to moderately rescue his wife from the hands of the ravisher; tell the mother to gradually extricate her babe from the fire into which it has fallen—but urge me not to use moderation in a cause like the present. I am in earnest—I will not equivocate—I will not excuse—I will not retreat a single inch—and I will be heard. The apathy of the people is enough to make every statue leap from its pedestal and hasten the resurrection of the dead.

Things have headed from bad to worse over the past 189 years.

Great verses to quote! This is the truth. America has been shielded from many dreaded diseases. However the blood that cries out against this country from all the aborted babies bears witness against us. God help us!

Now ponder those words ... with today's coronavirus .

Covenantal sanctions for unfaithfulness, at a particular point in ancient theocratic Israel's history.

Can't just read it and say, "yup, that's us.".

This is a global holocaust, hence, a global pandemic as a just recompense. Today, and every day, 142,000 innocent human beings, with their own unique beauty and destiny were murdered in the name of The Global Sexual Revolution. The entire world has been weighed in the balances, and found wanting. Empires are about to fall. Walk like Daniel; keep the Torah of Sinai and you will find refuge under the Wings of the Daystar.

YES, He does.
This very, very short lifespan of ours is a blink of an eye in ETERNITY. What we do here, how we behave and how we love God and each other will be OUR fate for eternity.

Thank you for sharing this.

I needed to read this.

Ignore those hermeneuts who strain at gnats.
You were moved to post what what on your heart.
You post of God’s word had not returned to Him void

Things have headed from bad to worse over the past 189 years.

I'm not so sure.
The world wars devastated Europe.
The two atomic bombs devastated Japan. They they reaped what they sowed.
The horrors of the Chinese, war or disease, devastates Asia as we speak.

And, no, God will not be mocked.
Your harshness seems somewhat fitting in these times.

I am so grateful to our good Lord that we have been allowed to live HERE and NOW.
Of a surety God is good.

While it would be unfair to say that the decline has been steady over the whole time, the indifference towards the supernatural is utterly amazing.

God is great.

Beer is good.

People are crazy. And, for the most part, indifferent.

And yes, these are the times in which God has placed us.

Providentissimus Deus

May He be glorified and praised.

Nature my left foot.

Americans ignore God because, as a rule, they have a VERY soft, secure life. Who needs God? Not them.
They are, of course, fooling themselves. We need our good Lord every second of every day. I spend most of my daily prayers praying to God in GRATITUDE for all of His blessings!

Since the churches are all closed I watch daily Mass on the Eternal Word Television Network--EWTN. I follow along in my daily Missal. So, I hear the Gospel and listen to the homily. I'm so grateful for that blessing as well.
How wonderful for me to see such sanity, caring and praying in these times.

There is also a recitation of the rosary at Lourdes every day.
Brrrrr! It sure looks COLD there.

I like your scripture.
I like it because it points to Christ.
I am a sinner, I have broken every sin.
Only Jesus can save me.

John 1:16-18 NIV
[16] Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. [17] For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. [18] No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and b is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. …

Who said to a group who was asking a similar question: "repent, or you will all likewise perish."

A lot of scripture is dual, and even triple.

Ponder this :
