Part II of my analysis of the Heart for Muslims conference. I round out Nik Ripkin's discussion of what lessons we can learn from the underground church-particularly how to live the Resurrection. I also tackle some dos and don'ts in witnessing to Muslims.
The cost of discipleship.
Yes and no. I recently spent 3 years working in Gulf countries. Yes: You can not openly evangelize, but you can (as an American) share that you are Christian/Catholic. I would show pictures of my wife doing retreats with the teens and since it was personal stuff, it was ok. Most of them had never seen American teenagers praying. Planted the seeds but man that is tough soil. Did have some interesting conversations about “God” when I was one on one in a car with them. Women were much more open to discussion then men. “Jesus, I trust in You”.
Good work. Good luck.
Could you give me some feedback on my post above. Thanks!
But it's definitely something that needs to be done.
Our pastor was just telling of some group our church supports - over in Spain. The leader of the group said that years ago he had a calling from God to witness to muslims, which he thought was odd as he didn’t know anything about them and had no desire to go there.
Well, he started learning about them, the language and tried to get to their countries but could never get in. Fast-forward to a few years ago and Spain began taking in muslim refugees - right into his city.
Some think that the revival of Christianity in Europe will be caused by all of the recent converts from islam. Although I’m guessing the muslim radicals and Satan will do their worst to prevent that from happening.
Thanks for your attempt, works, post. The Bible is not a war plan. On the other hand the Quran...
