To: Gay State Conservative

Yes and no. I recently spent 3 years working in Gulf countries. Yes: You can not openly evangelize, but you can (as an American) share that you are Christian/Catholic. I would show pictures of my wife doing retreats with the teens and since it was personal stuff, it was ok. Most of them had never seen American teenagers praying. Planted the seeds but man that is tough soil. Did have some interesting conversations about “God” when I was one on one in a car with them. Women were much more open to discussion then men. “Jesus, I trust in You”.

I belong to a really missions-oriented church, but most of the work being done overseas is in non-Islamic countries. The one exception being Indonesia. 2 missionaries we supported just came back from there this year. We also have church planting being done in the Southern Philippines.

But it's definitely something that needs to be done.
