Should the Pope EXCOMMUNICATE Mexican Cartel Members?
Self | November 19, 2019 | PJ-Comix

Imagine if you could Quantum Leap into the Pope. What would you do?

Well, since you don't know how long you could be a Pope you better start issuing decrees that you think could do some good. But what decrees? IMHO, the best decree the Pope could issue that would do the most good is issue a blanket EXCOMMUNICATION of all Mexican cartel members.

Yeah, some of them would probably laugh it off but I am sure many of them (laughably) consider themselves to be good Catholics so such an excommunication would have the effect of causing some of them to quit the cartels as well as keep others from joining in the first place.

Oh, and if any group deserves excommunication, it has to be the members of the Mexican cartel. They are the primary reason for the grief of the regular citizens of Mexico.

Probably not if they don’t commit environmental sins ... using environmentally sound methods of killing and disposing of enemies.

A Roman Catholic might reply with John 20:23 :
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Indeed a difficult concept.
(I think it only applied to the original Apostles, however the Roman Catholic argument can be made.)

He’s too busy excommunicating the Christians in his ranks.

… It is with sadness that I communicate back to you… For with your post you confirm my point. Somehow dear one… At some point… In someway… The Catholic Church convinced you that “with them“… Will come the full glory of Jesus Christ.

This “truth“ is the sad deception of the Kingdom of hell. Their goal? To steal kill and destroy.

When you stand before God on “that“ day… If you are dependent on Jesus Christ alone for your salvation your name will be written in the book of life. If you are dependent on anything… Anyone… Any organization… In addition to the completed work on the cross… You will spend eternity in hell.

If you know this… And you can say with confidence that you are dependent on no other name but Jesus Christ for your salvation… Then ask yourself dear one… Why involve yourself with an organization that tells you that without them you can’t be saved… Or adds so many things to salvation that they seek to confuse and control…

However, if you say “I need this and Jesus Christ for salvation“… You are lost.

Yes, your communication is sad, for it is shackled by man-made theology and partial truth.

… "upon this rock I will build my Church" …

It truly is sad to see many people who believe themselves to be seeking The Way and The Truth and The Life rejecting the Church which Jesus Christ Himself founded upon his Apostles.

Then you freely admit that you are dependent on an organization for your salvation. The kingdom of hell has blinded you… Is it is Christ who is the solid rock… Not a man… Not a church… It’s Jesus.

End of story… Beginning of eternity… Heaven? Or hell?

No, FRiend … the kingdom of hell has blinded you, seduced you into rejecting the Church and the Sacraments which Jesus Christ, God Himself, gave us for the salvation of souls. It is truly sad to see people shackled to their own pride, their own delusions, their own man-made theology, wandering far from the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.

Seldom do I see someone who has been brought into slavery by the Catholic Church so freely express the heresy of their position.

In your post you said “the sacraments which are Jesus Christ“…

Do you really believe that?

Amazing. Demonic . If the light within you is darkness how great is that darkness.

I love you dear friend… And I will pray for your spiritual awakening. So that Christ might be your all in all without any Catholic footnotes.

Either you're mistaken, or the people you're talking about don't have a clue what "to be a good Catholic" means. I think it's the former personally. Most of them are into syncretistic neo-Aztec paganism.

Do you really believe that?

Jesus said, "This is my body ... this is my blood". He did not invite or permit us to explain away his very clear words, and nobody within the church even thought to do so for close to 800 years. Ignatius of Antioch, a man who knew several of the Apostles personally, mentioned the gnostics who denied that the Eucharist was the flesh of Jesus ... he said they ought not even to be spoken of.

If you think that's "slavery," so be it. I would rather be enslaved to Jesus than partake of the kind of "freedom" you're peddling.

" do you think the Pope should excommunicate Mexican cartel members? "

Not if he wants to stay alive and keep those big donations coming in.

It is more than a little amusing to see someone who is deeply enslaved to his own pride accuse others of being enslaved to anyone or anything. One who is himself so enslaved is simply incapable of discerning another person's condition.

In your post you said “the sacraments which are Jesus Christ“…

I did not say that. If you are incapable of quoting me accurately, rational discourse with you is impossible.

Amazing. Demonic

Yes, enslavement to one's own pride and man-made theology truly is demonic. Indeed, pride is at the root of all sin.

And I will pray for your spiritual awakening.

Thank you. Likewise, I will pray for your spiritual awakening.

Should the Pope EXCOMMUNICATE Mexican Cartel Members?

Technically they have excommunicated themselves.

However he could say that they should not be given the sacraments as they are out of communion with the church.

I doubt he will do so. They have always reserved that for serious matters. Like objecting to the pope installing an archbishop one of his cronies who does not even speak the language over a local bishop. That will get your entire country under interdict.

Heh ... "Slavery" to Jesus?

An interesting concept ... Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life. And the Truth, He tells us, will make us free. So "slavery" to Jesus is the same as utter, complete dedication to the Truth ... and is therefore Freedom.
