Reporting from Rome, Michael J. Matt breaks down the nature and extent of Catholic resistance right from the Pope's own doorstep.
In the shadow of St. Peter's, several groups of Catholic faithful are organizing full-on demonstrations of principled resistance to the pontificate of Pope Francis and the upcoming Pan-Amazon Synod.
Is this how it ends? Will the Amazon Synod become known to history as the Great Amazon Schism that represented the final culmination of the Modernist Revolution in the Church?

You sound just like Jorge Bergoglio. He's not afraid of a schism either.
The love-it-or-leave-it argument is lame. If you love it and bad things are happening, you don’t leave. You stay and fight. Bergoglio has been a complete disaster as pope. If you’re a faithful Catholic, and you see him and his minions taking a wrecking ball to the Body of Christ, you don’t (1) leave; or (2) bury your head in the sand. You stay and do your part, however small, through prayer and action to help right the ship. It’s what the saints did in centuries past.

Some Roman Catholics fail to see there is no difference in what they’re doing than what was happening during the Reformation.
Hypothetically speaking, a Catholic who can’t tell the difference between Luther and Pius V would seem to fall into this category.
Sometimes it can be difficult to figure out who is who. I imagine that this kind of feels like the 15th and 4th centuries.
A false church can only have a FALSE schism.
The Vatican II church is a false church, a component of the great apostasy.
The true Church continues with the traditional Latin Mass and without the false popes from J23 through the non-Catholic presently dressing as Pope.
God will restore the chair with its next true Pope in His time and means if He so wishes. Just as we will always have tradition to guide us, so do we always have the true Popes to guide us until the chair is restored to a rightful claimant.
If Micheal Matt really believed in traditional Catholicism he would also believe that a Pope cannot mislead nor cause harm by his official teaching (for this is the official traditional teaching of the Church!).
Micheal Matt, take a sabatical and stop leading your readers astray with this anti-Catholic message (that a Pope can teach error).

The Vatican II council was already the schism: multitudes of Cardinals bishops priests and religious and parishioners altogether breaking away from the true Popes, as they embraced numerous heretics and previously silenced theologians, and gave them the platform and pursued heretical doctrines now instituted in the schismatic church, such as:
- Collegiality (essentially eliminating the primacy of the Pope)
- False Ecumenism
- Civil right to religious liberty
- Heretical and schismatic sects are means of salvation
- Communal public prayer with heretics and schismatics is useful and commendable
- The Jews are not presented in Scripture as rejected or accursed
- The Church has a high regard for doctrines which differ from her own
- Catholic missionaries should co-operate with heretical “missionaries”
And numerous other heresies and errors and statements offensive to pious ears.
And now the more conservative among the above-mentioned schismatics (such as Micheal Matt) are preaching the heretical doctrine that a Pope can harm the Church and teach error.
