It really is true: Francis Hates Americans

It really is true: Francis Hates Americans

Catholic: Universal.
Pope: the Universal Father.
A Pope who
loved Americans

One would think that the Pope would not resort to generalizations about one national people or another. One would think so...and yet earlier today he went out of his way to criticize the people of the United States.

Edward Pentin has the story:

A throwaway remark by Pope Francis aboard the papal plane this morning raised a few eyebrows among those traveling with him — and sent his press handlers scrambling.

After takeoff on his way to the Mozambique capital of Maputo, the Pope customarily greeted journalists on the papal plane. Among those he met was Nicolas Seneze, Rome correspondent for the French Catholic daily newspaper La Croix, which just published Seneze’s book, How America Wants to Change the Pope.

The book threads together different aspects of this pontificate — in particular the McCarrick abuse scandal and the Archbishop Carlo Viganò testimony — to conclude that influential figures in the U.S. Church are out to, if not replace Pope Francis, then to actively challenge him.

The book quotes professor Massimo Faggioli of Villanova as saying wealthy conservative Catholics have stepped into the vacuum of authority left by the sex abuse scandal to become the de facto leaders of the Catholic Church in the U.S.
On the plane, Seneze presented his book to the Pope, who recognized the cover, as he had read a review of it.

The Italian daily newspaper Il Messaggero on Aug. 20 published a story headlined, “A plot from the USA to make the Pope resign.” A cover of Seneze’s book accompanied the article.

“He reads Il Messaggero every day so when he saw the cover of the copy I was holding, he instantly recognized it,” Seneze told the Register aboard the papal plane today, adding that the book was published in French today.

“When I explained the picture to the Pope, he said: ‘Per me è un onore che mi attaccano gli americani (For me it’s an honor that Americans attack me).’”

This national generalization is quite astonishing! Of course, it is to be expected from an ultra-leftist  Latin-American, and a Peronist, but not from a Pope.

In reply, Americans can only say, "It's an honor to be criticized by the likes of you."

And here's your tax bill for all of your properties you have here in the US.

I’m no fan of Francis and I’m certainly not Catholic, but I have to say this:

If I was not an American myself, and looked at our politics, our forms of entertainment, our diet, our consumerism, etc., I’d probably not be a fan of Americans either. In fact, I might look at America as “the bad guys”.

You’re free to leave America if that’s how you feel.

How about Cuba?

And that is because of The Left, but Bergoglio chooses to attack Conservatives.

Why should I, or anyone else, go to Cuba (or anywhere else) because of the depravity of, for example, Hollywood?

“It really is true: Francis Hates Americans”

I disagree.

Half of American voters believe exactly as PopieF does, so Popie’s more interested in converting or exterminating the infidels.

Like the leftists, PopieF hates America and all for which we stand, not Americans.

Jesuit. Liberation Theology. South America.

That’s all I needed to know.

For all our problems — and they’re very bad problems — there are still more people of faith in this nation than any other.

And no Leftist is going to stand between me and my Lord and Savior.

Change ONE word, and that’s the POV of our domestic enemies:

If I was not an American myself, and looked at our politics, our forms of religion, our diet, our consumerism, etc., I’d probably not be a fan of Americans either. In fact, I might look at America as “the bad guys”.

Oh, Beulah! Peel me a grape.

Do you avoid Walmart too because the people smell like Trump supporters?

If you are out in the real world, the vast majority of Americans are good, decent people. The Leftist lifestyles are what the pope should be attacking.. Not Christian Americans. Seems this pope is as bad, maybe worse than we suspected.

My point is that every nation is hateable.

I believe that every human being is both loveable and hateable. It all depends on your focus. It’s actually part of my “marriage counseling” advice to young couples. That is, when you marry someone, you agree to love them. That means you agree to be their friend and ally. That means you focus on the things that are good and make them loveable, and ignore the things that make them hateable.

Individual US Citizens do a lot of really good stuff, but we do a lot of really bad stuff too. Francis seems to be concerned about the latter.

You shouldn’t have to, but you might consider it if you think the country is that bad.

I hope it clarifies.

I honestly think that if more Americans would try to see our country the way many outside see it, we’d at least understand what we are dealing with.
