Scola’s a good man. I served him coffee while he was on a visitation while head of the Lateran. Not coincidentally I also picked up a Lateran recognized degree when it meant something besides If-I-sound-like-a-heretic-I’m-still-ok

We need a new Dante, but I’d settle for John Cleese making a movie about the Vatican.

I fear we may also need a new Black Death.

Different topic but slightly related in terms of general purging of orthodox doctrine by progressives:

I live in the Albany NY Diocese and a friend and I had scheduled a speech by Hugh Owen http://kolbecenter.org/, Director of the Kolbe Center at two parishes. I sent the info about the event to the Diocese for their web page calendar and newspaper calendar section. The Diocese would not promote the event. Have you heard of Hugh or the Kolbe Center? One parish then withdrew their permission for him to speak and we are waiting on the other.

I am shocked that the Diocese would find controversial someone who promotes intelligent design over evolution. Well, actually it is Albany, so not that shocked.

Thoughts, anyone?
