This wasn’t as bad as I expected. I have heard it preached that the women brought loaves for the children and Jesus got them to share.
This at least had Jesus sharing the same five loaves.

I’ve heard this before - That what happened was people there began taking out their own food and sharing it, which is how everyone got fed.
I hadn’t heard it in a socialist context, but in one where the proponent of this idea didn’t believe in miracles.
It’s interesting to note that, yes, this is a very socialist fairy tale. That there’d be enough for everyone if the haves decided to share with the have-nots.

The feeding of the five thousand, not including women and children, was understood by the disciples as a miracle. For two thousand years, the church catholic has understood this event as a miracle. This pope deliberately abuses God’s Word to promote his socialist agenda.
