He is only concerned with social engineering, not with saving souls.

I was so impressed with St John Paul II that I ended up swimming the Tiber after wandering in the ELCA wasteland. Now I feel like I was the victim of a bait and switch scam.

Good book.

He's also a dictator pope, which happens to be the title of another good book.

“I renounce socialism and its false promises and its props and its worship and its advocates and its followers and its inventions and all things that are under it”.

And after his renunciation let him in his consociation say: “And I associate myself to Christ and believe and am baptized into one unbegotten being”.

Would it be so hard for the Pope to do this?

Yes, he is. I asked a conservative Catholic friend what people in her parish thought of him and she said all the Liberal Catholics love him. It figures.

Is the Vatican? If not, why should the USA?

I spent a day at the Vatican Museum. Wish I’d spent two, there was so much to see. Met nice people from all over the world at the Vatican Grill downstairs.
BUT the priests walking around the place were full of themselves, didn’t seem to like or relate to people. Broomstick-up-the cassock types, so much better than the peons supporting this enterprise.

That was 20 years ago; I see nothing has changed. And the Argentinian is clearly the Maduro of Catholicism.

All through that Catholic theology has not changed. Sounds like you were chasing a personality?

"Common Good", but no mention of Jesus Christ.

Liberal Christians do not need Jesus: they worship themselves. Christianity, in most of its forms, teaches some sort of end-time period of global unity, but it is under the authority of Jesus, not anti-Christian secularists and atheists.

Still no answer to the charges of heresy, eh, Frankie?

Stonewalling is his way of life. Say stupid stuff and never respond when you get called on it, and silence anybody who questions this.

I think he’s going to try the same thing with this latest challenge by some 20 of the Church’s best theologians - and now signed by about 1500 other theologians, priests, and monastics. But still no bishops, which is what it needs.

So he’s hoping to just tough this one out too.

Question: If this is supposed to be God’s chosen way for man, and a chosen “religion” for man to follow.......would God actually place a person such as this to be the “vicar of Christ” ?

1 Corinthians 1:12-14 King James Version (KJV)

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

Revelation 18:3-5 King James Version (KJV)

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
