Great and gracious Lord,

We come before You in gratitude today for our bold President's bold words to the Congress and the American People. "The State of our Union is: STRONG," he said. We thank You for the strength of the Holy Spirit shining through Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and the acclaim their resolve has rightly received. Dissolve the barriers before them as they seek to do Your Will for our nation, Lord.

Today we pray for the seemingly impossible: a unified spirit of cooperation between parties and within the United States Senate. We lift up the key members of the Budget, Appropriations, Homeland Security, and all other Senate Committees influencing the few remaining days before another threatened shutdown.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
—Matthew 7:7-8

In prayer, we ASK: that the Congress funds the southern border wall, technology and manpower requested by the President; that another shutdown be averted; and that You Will be done through miraculous conversion of the hearts of the stubborn, the ill-motivated, the game players, scoffers and plotters in positions of trust.

We pray specifically for the Democratic members of the Senate, that their consciences be turned towards their oaths of office and their fiduciary duties towards the nation. Help them lay aside fear, vengeance, spite, hypocrisy and all negative impulses that shame our great legacy, as the President has asked of them.

Thwart any evil plans of the devil towards Senate members, including blackmail, illegal influence, and even ignorance. Fill them with a thirst for brotherhood and the means to work for unity under the Rule of Law, we pray.

Lord God Almighty,
Hear our prayers for our nation's Senate Minority members, all the Congress of both houses, and all in authority over us throughout the land, that they may serve our Constitution with fidelity. Infill our families, churches, pastors, military, first responders, schools, universities, businesses, healthcare systems and the media with the outworking of Your Spirit.

Father, we have been told to have Faith and to avoid praying and
searching for Miracles. How can this be?
Faith can only grow stronger when we witness and acknowledge
Your Miracles.

Father God, we thank You for all of our many blessings. We thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, and in His name we do pray.

Lord, we lift up those in authority, whether local or federal. Lord, if it is Your will, put it in their hearts to govern responsibly, with integrity, and within the Rule of Law. Lord, we ask that You remind them that they are public servants - Just as we are servants to our King.

May we live according to Your Divine Precepts, resisting the devil, and loving You always.
