For someone so interested in Ukraine, it’s rather shocking that it is news to you that non-Germans would use symbols dating back to a time when their peoples were allied with the enemy of their oppressors (the Soviet Union). Perhaps you ought to diversify your information sources?

Sounds like you wish Germany had defeated Russia and won WW2.

This is the closest I can find to a “real” source. Reuters is far from Conservative (from our standards), but isn’t directly a Russian propaganda arm either.
