Happy Chanukah Songs... or Hanukkah, doesn't matter how you spell the event, just remember to use 8 letters to reflect the number of days in Chanukah!
So bring you favorite Hanukkah songs here, I'll start off with two...
New one, for me anyway...

I have no idea if a Dreidel is for Chanuka or not - but this is a pretty cool video (acapella).

Instead of one day of presents, we get eight crazy nights!
.
Back in the early 70s, the last time I attended a public school that wasnt graduate school, we sang Christmas Carols both secular and religious, and happily threw in a couple of Hannukah songs. I still remember Tis the week of Hanukkah Good Cheer it is bringing, This Holiday we celebrate with dancing and singing... A better time. And if some Muslim or Jehovah Witness didn t want to sing, it would not have been a big deal, but that wouldnt stop everyone else from singing.

1) Prelude To A Briss
A woman goes to the post office to buy stamps for her Chanukah
cards.
She says to the clerk, “May I have 50 Chanukah stamps?”
The clerk says, “What denomination?”
The woman says, “O my G-d. Has it come to this? Give me 6
Orthodox, 12 Conservative, and 32 Reform”.
That was great!

Yes, a dreidel is definitely a feature of Chanukah. It has one of 4 Hebrew letters on each side. You spin it and see if it lands on נ (Nun), ג (Gimmel), ה (Hay), or ש (Shin), which stand for the Hebrew phrase "Nes Gadol Haya Sham." This phrase means "A great miracle happened there [in Israel]." If you live in Israel, the shin is changed to a פ (Pey), and the phrase is changed to "Nes Gadol Haya Po" or "A great miracle happened here." The miracle referred to, of course, is that the single small vessel of consecrated oil in the Temple, which should have only lasted a single day to light sacred lights in the Temple, instead lasted 8 days, the time needed to make a round trip to the nearest town which had a supply of consecrated oil.

That video is fun. Interesting to see the various religions adapt to today’s styles to reach the youth and others. I never cared for our modern music service (Christian) - but it has grown on me and now I prefer it most of the time.
That’s cool about the Dreidel - and the miracle of the oil does sound familiar now that you mentioned it. About all I knew of it was the Jewish kid in the neighborhood got his presents before I did!
Shalom!
Thanks for bringing Adam Sandler to the party, I knew someone would. Now check out this live (real live) version, I noticed on guitar is Waddy Wachtel. I've seen him with Stevie Nicks band (had to look him up) and he was having so much fun I thought he's got to be Jewish, sure enough!
Thanks again!
