A seven-alarm fire that tore through a 150-year-old church in Massachusetts miraculously spared a painting of Jesus Christ, WFXT reports.
The piece of artwork, which hung near the front doors of First Baptist Church in Wakefield, Mass., somehow survived the massive blaze which was likely caused by a lightning strike completely unscathed.

God did.

It’s a clear reminder that the church is not a building, it’s Jesus and His children of God.

Yeah because one of God's Ten Commandments said to bow before graven images..Yeah, because the Bible never commands us to make any images. Oh, Wait....
"You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat. "Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends. "The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat." Exodus 37:7-9

Good, now show me where God or Jesus or any of His angels commanded to create art in His image.Graven image.
Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stonean image made by man's design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him [Jesus] from the dead.
Acts 17:29-3 (NIV)

Burned all over the outside including the edges of the pages and I opened it up and began looking through it. NOT ONE PRINTED WORD WAS TOUCHED, SCORCHED OR WATER DAMAGED
And this is because of physics, not an act of Divinity.
I burned alot of old porno magazines years ago and had to stir the mags so Oxygen could feed the flames enough to consume the dirty mags. It wasn't the devil trying to tempt me back to enjoying the naughty pictures, just not enough air to destroy them.

I don't know any Christian who worships art. Veneration is not worship.
Christians on this post are seeing 'divinity' in an mere accident.
Don't wish to anger our Catholic brethren(they have enough problems without me plying on) but their praying to medallions of saints and statues of the Blessed Virgin seem to fall within this category
There is a good reason why historically Jews, most old(Protestant) Christians churches and even Muslims don't have images of their Deity in their houses of worship.

Or wallet. On your phone. When you see the picture, it brings back memories of that person. Unless you are mentally unstable, you never confuse the image of the person with the person. We Catholics do not pray TO the picture or statue. It helps bring the person or God to top of mind.

I must be truthfully on this point. I am very proud of my family and my family's history that it borders on a sin(vanity) And yes we have pictures of long deceased members whom I look upon when I get in a melancholy mood and I thumb through the family album.
However I don't offer the album prayers or carry it around as to ward off evil spirits. As to what others prefer to worship is their constitution(God Given) right and woe to me if I deny anyone that right.
But as it was pointed out to me about the origins of our Christian faith and did more of my own research I see how far our faith has been "drifting" away from it's roots, I in turn help enlightened others who believe in Christ and serve in His name.
Am I right? I humbly believe so. If anything I hope you too will do your own research and see if what I am saying is true.
Not claiming I know the answers(that would be insane) or that I had direct divine guidance(didn't hear any voices but the written word) Just an assembly of undisputed facts from various resources, some Bibilal, some historical and tried to put this "puzzle" together.

I know how Combustion functions.
I also know what I saw and touched.
How do you explain the fact that the truck was still sopping wet and the inside of The Bible had No The Water Damadge OR even damp on the inside? Also The Bible was not stuck to the melted plastic it was sitting on. Nor were the covers burned away, scorched yes but not burned.
If you have never handed a Firehose before Ill tell you that even a 1 Firehose would easily blow open any normal book. The Firefighters more likely than not used a 2 Firehose off a Truck System that runs at minimum 40psi and a functional working of 150psi.
Believe what you want. Ill leave that between you and God.

I won’t and I cannot gainsay what you say you witnessed so there’s no point trying to argue the point.
But many weird and fascinating things happen all the time and without any supernatural meaning associated with it.
I’ve seen things that make me wonder about the afterlife that to this day will swear on a stack of Bibles that happened and I still get goosebumps when I think about it.
So I cannot dispute what you witnessed.

Yes for sure. The heresy of Protestantism has drifted from Christ's command to be 'one' in our beliefs
The Church of the apostles was definitely one: "There is one body and one spirit," Paul wrote, "just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all" (Eph. 4:4-5). Paul linked this primitive unity to the Church's common Eucharistic bread: "Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of one bread" (1 Cor. 10:17). Jesus had promised at the outset that "there would be one flock, one shepherd" (John 10:16).

The heresy of Protestantism is just a microcosm of the massive heresy of sungod worship known as the catholic church.
Yeshua gave us no ‘church.’
The church is man made heresy from top to bottom. It is a usurpation of the authority of Yehova’s apostles, and ruthless nicolaitan tyranny over his sheep.

Yeshua gave us no church. You should try reading Scripture.
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1Tim 3:15

The church is man made heresy from top to bottom. Except of course that Scripture shows otherwise. The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth.

Wrong to the nth degree!
There is no ‘church’ in Gods word.
It is the Kehillah, which is a completely mystical body that includes all who have remained “in covenant” to the end, beginning with the immediate family of Adam (as Yeshua declared in Matthew 24).
The church (any and all churches) is a human invention that goes by rules invented by men (creeds, etc.).
The liklihood of any member of that church being a part of the body of Yeshua is small, again as Yeshua himself declared (few there be that shall find it).
The church is a pillar of sin and falsehood that we must escape to find our Garment.

There is no church in Gods word.Except 'Church' is repeatedly used in His revealed word. The Church is the pillar and foundation of Truth.
Remember if your brother sins, what you sould do? "If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector." Mat 18:17
So Scripture is wrong? Again?

Total nonsense!
All there is in the word is the Kehillah, Israel, The Bride.
The church is the losers that get told “depart from me ye workers of iniquity, I never knew ye.” Its all man made.
