Pastors Can Get out the Vote in their Sunday Sermons.

Posted on 10/07/2018 6:14:42 PM PDT by cradle of freedom

Pastors can do very much to get out the Christian vote. They have a captive audience in their churches every Sunday so why not take advantage of that in a way that is totally legal. Several weeks before the election just do a sermon on the Christian duty of patriotism. Yes, patriotism is a Christian virtue. Christians are called to be faithful stewards and looking out for our children's future is part of that duty. Also being responsible with the public's money is also a very important duty of being a Christian. We have a duty to winnow out the chaff from among the politicians. There are many dishonest politicians who think that the public's money is really their own, we have to look out for signs of dishonesty. I know it is sometimes hard but we have to do our best.

Pastors can find quotes in the Bible that are fitting and appropriate as well as the many words of wisdom from the Founding Fathers.

On the Sunday before election day, Pastors can give their congregation another gentle reminder that it is election day the following Tuesday.

If you are a pastor please consider this and pass it on to your friends who are also pastors.

My pastor did just that in 2016. And he said although he couldn’t tell us how to vote, for him personally it came down to the Supreme Court. Then we prayed for God’s hand on the election. He listened.

After the death threats, violence and demonic ranting from the Kavanauh opposition, the baby killers can not claim to be “Christian” of “moral”

Aside from the Baptists - SOUTHERN Baptists - WHICH “Christian” ministers do want energizing THEIR base? Methodists?
Episcopalians? Evangelical Lutherans?,
the kind of “Church” Barrack Obama, aka Barry Soetero and his consort belonged to?

Confessional Lutherans are Biblical conservatives.

I don’t want to hear anything political from my pastors. I go to hear them talk about God not politics.

Trust in God

Yield your tax exempt status before giving up your freedom of speech.

As a leader of your church, speaking the word of God is your 1st responsibility. Encouraging your members to support a candidate who will not sensor, prohibit or criminalize their freedom of religion is calling upon them to protect their freedom of religion.

I agree.

I go to a Reformed church in New York which is focused exclusively on the KJV Bible.

They focus on eternal, not temporal, things. And there are only 2 eternal things in this world. God's word and the 7 billion+ souls on this planet.

I don't think a house of worship is the place to do stump speeches.

That said, I have no problem with what Franklin Graham is doing, i.e. registering Christians across California. I see that as pragmatic self-defense.

If more Christians were registered in places like Minnesota and Georgia, they wouldn't be at risk of being ruled by Muslims.

If they are electioneering from the pulpit, then they should have their tax exempt status revoked. This applies to both sides.

Watch out for the churches where their parishioners lists still contain the dead they have buried in the last twenty years.

I agree - 100% Correct!

The three issues you addressed, and the way you articulated them, showed evidence of a Thinker!

Objective, critical, analytical, and independent thought have already become a thing of the past (IMO)

Not if they want to keep their church’s tax-free status.

I guess the church will have to choose between keeping their tax-exempt status vs preaching the whole word of God. God judges nations.

Abortion is not politics, it's murder and there are plenty of Scriptures on the "fires of Molech" or Baal. Sodomy isn't politics, it an abomination to God and will be a sign the world is about to be judged. Drugs, adultery, drunkenness, are all sins that mostly Dems do and encourage. Just look at the legal dope now in many states. Banning prayer,...who does that? Calling the Bible a book of fairy tales,....who does that? Islam is not a religion but a political movement. We have a slaughterhouse coming to my county to produce Halal meats. They will be chanting a false god's name as they cut the animals throat. That is textbook "meat sacrificed to an idol". Look up the downfall of Solomon to see the results to him and his kingdom.

What I find about people that say what you just said is they are Democrats that go to church and don't want anyone saying that what they support is from the devil. If your church will marry gays, or feel the woman has a right to kill her child after being caught in fornication, your blood probably runs cold when the word of God is spoken from the pulpit. Jesus spoke to that when He told His followers that if they didn't DO His commandments, He would tell them to get away from Him as He didn't know them.

As a Christian, we should desire the WHOLE COUNCIL OF God, not just milk. Isaiah 4:1 says that in the end times, there will be 7 women( & churches in Revelation) that choose one man( Jesus, so they claim to be Christians)And they eat their own food( instead of eating the Bread of Life, The Bible. They call evil; good and good is evil), And wear their own garment( not the garment of righteousness Jesus gives us) but they want to be called by His name( rather than be call Satan worshipers), so they can fool others and bot be looked down upon. You can say you are a Christian, but we are fruit inspectors and judge your fruit. There is no grace for baby killers that fornicate and sodomites will be outside the gates of the Temple in Revelation.
