How absurd. Do slaves have free will? And yet 1/3 of them chose to join Lucifer, in rebellion against God. I wouldn’t want to glorify him, but he was the light-bearer, and must have wooed the others with his beauty, and he still does deceive some, who, if they do not repent, are forced to see him as he really is -— rotting corruption and foulest evil.

Some think Lucifer was called the light bearer, because he was originally slated to teach man God’s will.

Nope. The demons are, however.

Are Angels Slaves

That is a so-called "Complex Question."

A complex question, trick question, multiple question or plurium interrogationum (Latin, "of many questions") is a question that has a presupposition that is complex. The presupposition is a proposition that is presumed to be acceptable to the respondent when the question is asked. The respondent becomes committed to this proposition when he gives any direct answer. The presupposition is called "complex" because it is a conjunctive proposition, a disjunctive proposition, or a conditional proposition. It could also be another type of proposition that contains some logical connective in a way that makes it have several parts that are component propositions.

-Wikipedia

But you should first define your terms.

1. Define "angel." (I.e., what is your definition of "angel?")

2. Define "slave." (I.e., what is your definition of "slave?")

Then and only then, you can attempt to definitively establish whether angels even exist or not.

Only then is it worthwhile to attempt determine the answer(s) to your question.

Regards,

There is no repentance for them. They will suffer with the rest of the damned.

I hadn’t heard that. There are so many questions, to which some day in eternity, I would like ask God. I wonder...will we even give those questions a thought, when we see Him, face to face?

Wow, 2 powerful words that I've never thought to be combined together. To imply that they are slaves imply that God is the supreme slave owner and thus he despises free will.

Everywhere in the Bible He says to "Choose", and he does not force His Will on us as in an imperial way. In teaching his disciples to pray, the prayer asks God to bring His Will on earth.

Muslims tend to think of God’s relationship with mankind as a master-slave one, while Christians and Jews think of it as more a Father-son one. In the former, we are compelled by force. In the latter, it’s love. Not only do I prefer the latter, I think it’s accurate.

The good angels are “slaves” to Love Incarnate.

The bad angels are slaves to self-love.

Eternal winners vs eternal losers.

Slavery is a choice... angels have free will but poor judgement.

I don’t know if they’re slaves or not, but exactly 1,483.73 of them can dance on the head of a pin.

God says in His Word “Choose this day whom you WILL serve”.

Most traditionally see this verse as an indication of our freedom... but most overlook the last 3 words. We were created servants... both angels and man alike. We WILL SERVE someone, and God wants us to choose who that will be.

One could argue that all of God’s creation (with free will) are slaves... because the only other option is complete separation from Him.

For me, it is not really an issue of whether or not I am a slave... Rather, it is a matter of HOW MUCH FREEDOM I am given as a slave. Even slaves taken against their will are given SOME measure of freedom and choice in their daily lives of servitude. It is unavoidable... unless the purpose of that enslavement is nothing more than incarceration and/or torture.

So... we are given a choice. Whom do we wish to serve?

Someone who hates us and wants us to suffer?

Or someone who loves us enough to die for?
