In the UK, only 7% of young adults identify as Anglican, fewer than the 10% who categorise themselves as Catholic.
Fascinating trend given the history of UK and the more recent religious affiliation numbers.

In many cases, there is a very tight bond between God and Country. One concept supports and gives purpose to the other.
Once that bond is severed or weakened through cultural and social neglect, other influences may find it easy to implant their own notions about what really matters in the secular world.

Actually this is Non-Christian Europe 4.0. The first three iterations were: 1.0, The Reign of Terror (French Revolution); 2.0, The Bolsheviks; and 3.0, The Nazis. How did those work out? (Yes, you can argue that Russia is not part of Europe, but it has always seemed ORIENTED towards Europe, rather than the Far East. It is Christian, not Taoist, or Hindu, or Buddhist.)
