CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A Charlotte woman reported to jail Friday morning after she baptized her daughter.

The court case goes back a couple of years to when Kendra Stocks and Paul Schaaf were in a custody battle over their daughter. According to court documents, the two could never agree to the terms of their daughter's baptism.

"It’s just very sad. It’s all just a very sad situation,” Stocks told Channel 9.

She should have been already baptized and they should have not waited until she was 2!!

Hard to argue against jail. I have read numerous articles on this and she is a bit crazy, did this to spite her husband who had different request on this (both Catholic so unclear), and she ignored the judge who said no until it was straightened out.

He wanted to be there and she stopped him from sharing that moment.

Really spiteful thing to do.

Agree. Too bad the parents couldn’t come to an agreement, but this is none of the judge’s business and should have been thrown out.

No doubt both the father and mother were baptised when they
we’re children and have no idea what it is for, they just as well belong to the moose club as belong to a church.

Jailed for contempt.

This isn’t the judges business.

When you file for relief from the court, you make it the Judges' business.

**************

This a violation of the Judge's ruling regarding the custody situation.
The father was in charge of these type things, not the mother. So the Judge
gave her a week to contemplate her actions.

Judge had granted the father primary decision making control including for religion. My guess is this was done for a good reason.

The woman is playing victim but, for some reason, the judge didn’t grant her primary decision making control.

If they were both strong Christians they would have settled in within the church family.

On the other hand, if they were both strong Christians they probably wouldn’t be getting a divorce.

Sad.

Never married. Good Catholic parents of a bastard child.

This isn’t the judges business.

So you don't think courts should be involved in determining custody and support issues? Or are you just against it when the child is illegitimate?

That is an erroneous title.

She is in jail because she defied a court order that the judge handed down giving her ex-husband control over religious decisions for the child.

The next day she went out gave the finger to the judge and the husband and behind his back did this.

Women believe they are free to get away with anything. Defy laws they do not like. Attack cops that are detaining them. Lie about sexual assault and detroy innocent mens lives. Murder anyone they want especially if they are inside them. Defy a court order they dont like.

Awalt.

I believe if the woman were not crazy there would have been no divorce.

Women always get primary control unless there is a very good reason not to give it to her.

She refused to let the husband be there...I’d say she is a pretty awful person. Maybe jail with straighten her out.

And if the roles were reversed she would have demanded the judge throw him away for more than 7 days. You kmow it and every woman and man here knows it.
