A first-grade teacher at a Catholic school in Miami says she was fired for being gay, and now a group of upset parents say they may pull their children from the school.
Days after marrying the love of her life, Jocelyn Morffi, a teacher at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School, wrote in an Instagram post that she was fired for being gay.
"In their eyes I’m not the right kind of Catholic for my choice in partner," she wrote, along with the hashtag "#GuiltyOfLove!"
Upset parents who showed up to the school Friday disagreed with the school's decision to dismiss Morffi.
"We feel cheated," parent Cintia Cini said. "She was the best kind of teacher that you can ask for and our kids, everybody, every parent here — our kids loved her."
Parents shared a letter they received from the school Thursday informing them that Morffi was no longer teaching at the school.
"Today a difficult and necessary decision has been made regarding Ms. Jocelyn Morffi, our first-grade teacher. She is no longer teaching at our school," the letter read. "Please know that your child(children)'s education is of the utmost concern for us and throughout the next days and weeks your child's daily school routine will not be disrupted as Ms. Morffi's replacement will be selected very soon."

No, she was fired for her sinful action, not for “being gay”.

Your choice, remove them and send them to another school. In fact, find out which public school she will be teaching and send your child to that school.
So now the church will face criticism and outrage from the gay activists, for dismissing a teacher who clearly does not adhere to Catholic doctrine/morality regarding marriage.
Love has at least three separate meanings in the Bible. Hers was not the “love” ordained by God. Always a false premise at the start.
Guilty of Lust. Someone that out of control should not be teaching children.

I wish her every possible happiness. But she was correctly dismissed. I’m so glad to hear there are still some Catholic schools that try to uphold moral values Certainly such pagazized moral cesspools like Georgetown and Notre Dame U could take a lesson from this Catholic school

Agape, Phileo, Storge, and Eros. Agape is the holy Godly love, Phileo is a love of friendship, Storge is love between family including a spouse, and eros is purely physical, or carnal.
Lady, you are not “gay.” You are human. God’s moral law applies equally to all humans.
She was fired for violating the moral norms of the Catholic Church, her employer, just as Google fired a guy for violating THEIR moral precepts.
I once asked if the New Testament ever used “eros” in a positive context. I have not received an answer.
