A Vatican-China deal is imminent. Millions of Chinese Catholics should be afraid.

Feb. 8, 2018 7:15 p.m. ET

Ever since the red flag rose over China in 1949, Roman Catholics there have suffered because of their fidelity to the pope in Rome. Now the Holy Father himself has become a source of tribulation. In its eagerness to reach a deal with China, the Vatican is elevating the persecutors over the persecuted.

Xi Jinping, an atheist and hard-line communist, became leader of China in 2012. The Chinese government has since stepped up its violations of human rights, including religious freedom. This is no accident. In 2016 President...

One might as well ask when did the pope become Xi?
Answer: Before he was pope...

In Bergoglio, Xi seems to have chosen the Antipope. I’m waiting for the real Pope to emerge from wherever he’s hiding.

He’d make a pretty good jesuit.

Obama, Soros and the St. Gallen Mafia.

The better question is how much damage Frankie is going to do before he’s out of there. The fundamentals of the Catholicism are on the chopping block. He has stacked the leaders with leftists. We Catholics are on the brink of losing our Church.

I really want to know if Obama spied on the Conclave.

Believe it or not, I would consider that worse than spying on Trump, which he almost assuredly did.

I don’t think the advent of Obama and Pope Francis were a coincidence.

He’s at the same resort that Sessions is in, just down a few doors.

Or rather we will see a split of the Church.

Question: What will it take to get those who actually love Jesus Christ to see that the Roman Church is irreparably corrupt? It is so bad, even the Reformation of the Church started by Luther failed miserably. Like Psalm 11 states, "if the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do..."? You cannot reform that which is built on falsehood (e.g. priestly celibacy, papal infallibility, transubstantiation, etc)...

Jeremiah 13:23 "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil."

What will it take get those outside the Catholic Church to see that outside of Her, there is no salvation?

Why would one who thinks the Roman Catholic Church is irrepably corrupt, take a screen name after one of Her heroes?

Our first hierarchs, when push came to shove:

Peter, James, and John, who had seen Jesus raise Jairus' daughter from the dead and who had seen Him transfigured in glory on Mt. Tabor, would not pray with him for one hour at Gethsemane.

Judas betrayed Him for a fistful of silver.

Peter denied Him 3x (scared of being ID'd by a servant girl!)

The rest ran off, headed for the tall grass.

Only one, John, was faithful, with Jesus' mother, at the foot of the Cross.

This is the caliber of the "select men" Jesus chose. What an auspicious beginning.

I suppose that would have been, for some people, a signal to leave this "irreparably corrupt" Church.

That would be people who do not know about Jesus' power to rescue His Church and to make sinners whole.

We’ll see on judgment day who is correct. The Jesus Christ of the true church loves children and protects them from all predators

We'll each have our own judgment days. Better worry about your own, rather than mine.

Great post. The original apostles were highly flawed, along with all humans. Think about how flawed they were, after witnessing all the things mentioned, hundreds of miracles, while he took on the agony of sin in the garden, they took a nap!

I don’t think Pope Francis is evil, I think he’s scatterbrained, I’ve heard really good things at times, then things that make no sense at all. I also think things are misunderstood, like the ‘who am I to judge’, which is true, we don’t judge who goes to heaven or hell. The non-religious press took it as something else entirely. here is an example.

A person once asked me, in a provocative manner, if I approved of homosexuality. I replied with another question: ‘Tell me: when God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?’ We must always consider the person. Here we enter into the mystery of the human being. One who has never been to church in their life would take this to say he didn’t condemn the act, he said nothing about the act! A gay person has always been welcome, they can be gay, but celibate and take part in every sacrament of the church (exc marriage). A gay person who isn’t celibate is no different than the man in the pews who is sleeping with his girlfriend, the woman in the front row who screwed her friend’s husband, the guy in the back who stole from his employer, or the college kid that watched porn before church.
