Abp Cupich Hits Steve Bannon-‘Laughable’ to Believe Church Has Economic Interest in Mass Immigration
Breitbart ^ | 12/24/17 | John Binder

Archbishop of Chicago Blase Cupich took a shot at Breitbart News executive chairman and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, a devout Catholic, saying it is “laughable” to believe that financial profit is the reasoning behind the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) support for mass immigration to the United States.

In an interview with former President Obama political strategist David Axelrod, Cardinal Cupich hit back at Bannon’s comments during a September segment of CBS’s 60 Minutes where he blasted Catholic Bishops for supporting illegal immigration while ignoring the issues and hardships it creates for American citizens.

Bannon said in the interview:

The [Catholic] bishops have been terrible about this. You know why? Because unable to really … come to grips with the problems in the Church, they need illegal aliens, they need illegal aliens to fill the churches … They have an economic interest in unlimited immigration, unlimited illegal immigration.

Cupich told Axelrod that, like Cardinal Timothy Dolan, he found Bannon’s statement “laughable” and claimed that the Church actually spends money trying to aid illegal and legal immigrants, as well as refugees.

Cupich said:

Yes, in fact, he even went so far as to say that we wanted to increase our collections as a result of that. That it was a monetary, a financial decision which I think Cardinal Dolan found laughable, as I do. We budget quite a bit of money every year in order to assist people who are migrating here, people who are trying to enter into our society and be a part of the American dream.

Cupich also said that the American Catholic Church has always been an “immigrant church” and that the U.S. is an “immigrant nation,” a notion that is often repeated by the open borders lobby.

Cupich the weasel finds some fight. Sadly and predictably, it's not about abortion nor homosexual "marriage".

The Catholic Church has been promoting open borders and amnesty for decades.

The Catholic Church wants lots of new members to swell the numbers in the pews. The current method is to aid immigration both legal and illegal. Yes, they are spending money to get more members. In other words, “Preparing the field to grow a new crop of Catholic memberships.” Latin American immigration to the USA will make the Catholic Church more populated and more powerful.

The majority of illegal immigrants are Mexican and Guatemalan. Mexico is one of the least religious countries in the Americas and Guatemala is less than half Catholic. None of these people are contributing money or filling empty pews to any useful degree.

The real reason they want these people is from being authorized for migrant resettlement by the feds. For every migrant they "place" they get a nice kick-back of taxpayer money. The profit is huge. The Catholic and Lutheran churches have been playing this game for years.

US Catholic Bishops have been getting paid for bringing in third-world savages for decades.

Catholic Charities, Episcopal Migration Ministries, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, and others, receive hundreds of millions of dollars a year from the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration and the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

They aren’t spending their own money. Cupich, like Il Papa himself, is a Satanic liar.

Other churches also. Among the worst offenders are some of the churches in Minnesota.

Chicago? Does anything good come out of Chicago?

They used to say such things about someone who came from Nazareth and Galilee. But in this case, I think they’re correct.

Yep. The Christians that get involved with it are directly defying God’s will. God created separation between peoples and languages at the tower of Babel. People who ignore this are generally wiped out and replaced by the foreign people they bring in.

The Church gets subsidized for it and the Church is now a bureaucracy expecting state aid. If communism handles its bureaucracy economy that way, the church is doing a good job at it. Nough said.

The he k it aint. Those illegals drop wads of cash in the collection plate. I’ve seen it. It’s all untraceable, nothing to send out at tax time. I’m not saying the cash goes to anything shady, that I don’t know and I truse it’s going to something beneficial to the parish, but boy how the church fights for those immigrants and tells us how we should welcome them.

Be a good christian, give em a sandwuch and some water and tell them you really should go home.

I always have to remind people that I, cherry, met this bishop at an Irish bar in Vegas...there was a little shindig going on there and I can't say he did anything wrong, but it was a bar, and it makes me laugh to think of this cardinal in a bar...

anyway there is a TON of money doing govt work...social services, homeless shelters, health clinics, missions abroad....

other religions do it as well....play nice and the govt gives you all this money to run all these places....$$$$$$
