Planned Parenthood: Christians Should be Forced to Fund Abortions, It’s “Immoral” Not To
LIFE NEWS ^ | Dec. 15, 2017 | Micaiah Bilger

Choice. It’s a word that Planned Parenthood loves to use when promoting the killing of unborn babies in abortions.

But now, the abortion chain is abandoning its favorite word in an underhanded attempt to force Christians to pay for birth control, including methods that may cause abortions, in their employee health plans.

Crystal Strait, president of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, recently wrote an opinion piece for The Sacramento Bee to argue their case.

Strait blasted President Donald Trump’s administration for rolling back President Barack Obama’s birth control mandate. The onerous requirement forced groups like the nuns of Little Sisters of the Poor and the religious owners of Hobby Lobby to challenge the mandate to the U.S. Supreme Court, or face crippling fines.

Trump provided relief from the Obamacare mandate by granting wider exceptions to religious groups, but several state attorneys general are challenging the decision. Strait praised pro-abortion California Attorney General Xavier Becerra for being one of them.

“We believe that denying access to contraception is both illegal and immoral. Thanks to the ACA’s birth control benefit, 55 million women gained access to contraception,” she wrote.

She continued:

For so many of us, access to birth control has been a given. It’s been 45 years since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized birth control and the impact of that decision has been immeasurable.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ranked contraception as one of the 10 great public health achievements of the 20th century. Yet here we are, in 2017, with a president who wants to restrict birth control access and move us back to the dark days of inequity and inequality.

Strait’s hyperbolic, fear-mongering statements are almost laughable, considering that the mandate only was in effect for a few years. Birth control still is easily and readily available through doctor’s offices, community health centers, pharmacies and, of course, Planned Parenthood.

“The government already engages in dozens of programs that subsidize contraception for the low-income women” who are most at risk of unplanned pregnancies, the Trump administration said when it announced the new mandate rules.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

Even pro-abortion Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, who also is challenging Trump’s new rules, admitted that the mandate under pro-abortion President Barack Obama was “extremely narrow.”

The new Trump administration rules give wider exceptions to religious objectors who have been forced to pay for contraception, including methods that may cause abortions, under the Obamacare mandate. The Trump administration says the new rules are motivated by “our desire to bring to a close the more than five years of litigation” over the pro-abortion mandate. These include cases by the Little Sister of the Poor, Hobby Lobby and countless other religious organizations and businesses.

In other words, the Trump administration is giving religious individuals the choice to opt-out – a choice that the abortion industry does not want them to have.

Two questions:
1. From where do they get their moral compass?
2. Why should I respect the morals it generates?

If you are going to question the morality of a thing, it begs the question: On what do you base your morals?

The California attorney general stated, “Thanks to the ACA’s birth control benefit, 55 million women gained access to contraception, . . .”

The truth is these women would have access to contraception whether or not Planned Parenthood existed. Condoms are available over the counter at any pharmacy and in vending machines at many locations. Every state allows physicians to write prescriptions for a variety of birth control devices and most physicians have no moral or religious objections to writing such prescriptions. The option of going to a physician for birth control existed prior to the ACA being enacted. All human beings have the option of a 100% reliable birth control option — abstinence from sexual intercourse.

The ACA did not in any way increase access to birth control. All the ACA did was use the power of the state remove the need for some citizens to pay for their own birth control by compelling other citizens to pay for it. Seizure of the property of one citizen by government, for the benefit of another citizen, has nothing to do with access. It has everything to do with tyranny.

Speaking of abortion funding, the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the deep state feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for abortion purposes.

Funding for abortion provided by the post-17th Amendment (17A) ratification Congress is unconstitutional imo.

In other words, career lawmakers are taking advantage of 17A to exploit low-information women. They exploit low-information women by promising them abortion funding to win their votes, the women probably not understanding that the feds have no constitutional authors to provide such funding.

And speaking of career lawmakers, patriots now need to be making sure that there are plenty of state sovereignty-respecting, Trump-supporting patriot candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to D.C. on election day.

And until the ill-conceived 17th Amendment is repealed, patriot candidates need to win primaries and elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud and associated MSM scare tactics.

Are they calling abortions “contraception” and “Birth Control”. I can’t imagine “birth control” was illegal 45 years ago.

She’s confusing contraception (i.e. prevention) with murder.

I wonder if PP would consider offering the Christian “True Love Waits” program, to their young patients.

Ha.
