[The Harry Potter books are entertaining]

That’s what people say about OWEGI BOARDS too.

I wasn’t a fan of the books but two of my four kids were and I was forced to read them because of that. Harmless. Parents should ban Ellen and other talk shows and technology before they ban books, lol.

And this is why we are losing the culture war.

It’s not just millennials. I have an acquaintance in the 60’s who was constantly telling me she was sending archangel Rafael or some other archangel to me (for healing or for help). Really believed I guess that she could command archangels. Odd.

Goes back farther. Remember the book SUN SIGNS, sold about 50 years ago? There were books on casting spells, every newspaper had a horoscope column. ROSMARY’S BABY and THE EXORCIST were the movies to watch.
Back in 1974, Jean Dixon, in STAR tabloid, predicted NIXON WILL NOT RESIGN! the very day he resigned.

Ten years later, when her horoscope column was to appear in our local newspaper stated she HAD predicted the resignation.
Everyone that I know who got involved with horoscopes did not end well.

Love Disney World :) It’s the happiest place on earth.

OMG I just can’t with these posts. Witches hats. Gasp.

So little kids with witches hats on their heads would make little kids become, what exactly? Witches? They don’t control anything, have no power, right?

LMAO and this is why our side isn’t taken seriously at all.

not a millennial, but disagree. they are the first generation to have the world and it’s knowledge at it’s finger tips.

Hey! Here I am! Don't I have the world and its knowledge at my finger tips? Yes, I do!

And gosh darn it! Here we are!

Umm..no as tempting as it is I think our problems run a bit deeper than one popular book series.

And apparently a big problem with the other extreme that doesn’t realize that entertainment, books that are entertaining and inspire imagination, aren’t reality either.

A burning of “satanic” Harry Potter books, ouija boards,
and rock music at the Christ Community Church in
Alamogordo, New Mexico (2001). After the event,
an outpouring of donations was made to the local public library,
which used the funds to purchase additional copies.

Dabbling in the occult opens the door for demonic activity.

This is an inevitable consequence of separating faith and reason ... or promoting religions like Islam that worship a god with a will but no intellect.

[a generation that grew up in a world of big industry, environmental destruction, large and oppressive governments, and toxic social structures]

Nope, no agenda there.

Love Disney World :) It’s the happiest place on earth.

I was in France last month, and stayed for 3 nights at Disneyland Paris. Lots of fun!

I've now visited almost every Disney park (Disneyland, Disney World, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo). The only one I haven't been to is Shanghai.

Even for a dedicated Disneyphile, I don't think I'd recommend making an overseas trip strictly to visit a Disney Park, with one exception: Tokyo. It's different enough from the others to be worth it. Any of them are worth visiting if you happen to be in the vicinity, though.

Had so much fun as a kid playing with the ouija board. We had fun but knew it was fake. Who didn’t?

Superstitious bullshit that anyone with half a brain realized. But it was fun.Entertainment. It’s like the new thing, Karma, lol, which is also fake. Or the evil eye, malook (malocchio), I have a solid gold (is there anything else for Italians?) horn on a chain and still have it today. It protected me from those giving me the “evil eye” lol. It was a fad back in my day in South Philly. It’s like voodoo dolls, they don’t really work, lol. Or chanting a spell woo woo. I’m just surprised anyone worries about that stuff. Let me go put the evil eye on someone, RME.
