Iran's Moment...Euphrates pt 9

“…and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.(Revelation 9:13-15)

The fourth nation which touches the Euphrates is Iran, previously known as Persia.

The Persians are heirs of one of the great world civilizations. Mighty kings and rulers such as Cyrus the great, Darius, Xerxes once ruled a vast empire, from India to Ethiopia and including the land of Israel. Daniel predicted that the Persians would be the second of four pagan world empires to rule over the chosen people, and lived to see the day that Persia overcame Babylon to rule the known world.

The Persian conquerors were benevolent towards the Jews, releasing them from captivity in Babylon, sending any who would go, back to their land, financing the rebuilding of the temple, and of Jerusalem as Isaiah had foretold hundreds of years beforehand, even naming the Persian King who would do so, ie Cyrus.

That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.(Isaiah 44:26-28)

Persia would eventually fall to the Greek empire, led by Alexander the great, as Daniel predicted and would be ruled by his successors for about a hundred years.

Persia eventually threw off the Greek rulers, and remained independent and resistant to the Roman Empire which followed. Persian culture developed over the centuries, around the religion of Zoroaster.

There is most definitely a territorial power known in scripture as “The Prince of Persia”, as revealed in the book of Daniel;

And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me. Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.(Daniel 10:19-21)

In our own lifetime, we have seen Iran transform herself from a modern, western ally into a rabid, terror exporting Mullocracy, brutally imposing Shariah on its own people, and exporting death, destruction and terror around the globe. Iran is a nightmare state, an example of the failure of Shariah, as evidenced by the restive population of young people demonstrating n the streets for regime change.

I wrote in my book A Sword on the Land, that it is almost as though Iran has become demon possessed. Suddenly everywhere, after 1979, the glowering face of the Ayatollah Khomeini glared down on passersby from billboards and building sized posters. Women were confined to the black chador, and religious police roam the streets of Iran’s cities meting out harsh punishment and even beatings for minor infractions.

Stadiums in Iran which were built for football matches and other sporting events are often used for public executions, such as stoning and hangings.

The Shiite brand of Islam, of which Iran is the champion, awaits the Mahdi, aka the twelfth Imam, the Shiite version of the coming of the Christ. The Ayatollahs who rule the nation want to initiate the apocalypse, because they believe it will usher in the Mahdi,

A majority of Shiite Muslims traditionally believe that the “12th Imam” (Islamic religious leader), born in 868 A.D., was placed by God into hiding (known as occultation) until the day of judgment. Southern Baptist author and evangelist Anis Shorrosh explained that many Shiites also refer to the 12th Imam as the Mahdi, an Arabic word that generally references a messiah, or a guide…

Though most strains of Islam have a belief in the Mahdi, Shiites traditionally believe he is Mohammed ibn Hasan, the 12th in the line of imams who were descendents of the prophet Mohammed. Though they do not know when the Mahdi will return, they believe he will come to end the misery of his people. Some strains of Islam even hold a belief that Jesus will be the Mahdi who will return and proclaim Islam as the true religion.12th IMAM key Facet of Islamic prophecy

The Ayatollahs of Iran believe that this is their opportune time to create the chaos necessary to bring back the Mahdi, (for he is to come at a time of international strife and crisis).There are several factors which contribute to their belief in the timing of this event.

1) The Ayatollahs are looking at their implementation and completion of a generation of pure Shiite Shariah in Iran, as an eschatological accomplishment.

2) The Nuclear agreement which virtually guaranteed Iran a Nuclear weapons program and the financing to accomplish it, (150 billion from the US taxpayer) is seen in Iran as a last days doomsday sign and wonder.

3) Iran has been fomenting successful Shiite revolutions in Yemen, Lebanon, part of Iraq, and has brought the Sunni Kingdom of Kuwait to her side, and is actively helping Bashir Assad in Syria, along with the Russians. Such successes only bolsters the confidence of Iran,

There is another lesser known reason why the present seems to be the time for Iran to make a move towards bringing back the Mahdi. Aging populations will cause severe discomfort in the United States and extreme pain in Japan and Europe by mid-century. But the same trends will devastate the frail economies of the Islamic world, and likely plunge many countries into social chaos.

By 2050, elderly dependents will comprise nearly a third of the population of some Muslim nations, notably Iran – converging on America’s dependency ratio at mid-century. But it is one thing to face such a problem with America’s per capita gross domestic product (GDP) of $40,000, and quite another to face it with Iran’s per capita GDP of $7,000 – especially given that Iran will stop exporting oil before the population crisis hits. Iran knows she doesn’t have unlimited time, she must move swiftly to accomplish her apocalyptic goal, to create enough international destruction and mayhem to bring back the 12th IMAM, the Mahdi.

Bristling with money, and a deal with the US that Khomeini could have only dreamed of, and now well on her way to becoming a full Nuclear threat, It seems to be Iran’s moment.

Little does she realize that rather than her shining Shiite moment, Persia is being lured into a disastrous alliance with Turkey, (Gog, Magog, the House of Togarmah, Gomer) ,Sudanese and Somalian elements(Ethiopia), and Libya into an ill fated invasion of Israel which will result in Persia’s power being utterly crushed once and for all-time.

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them (Ezekiel 38:1-7)

At the present time all of those elements are fighting together already just north of Israel’s border, scurrying over the torn body of Syria, dislodging US and Saudi backed Sunnis from their homes, driving them out of country, weaponizing mobs of homeless Muslims, destabilizing Europe and trying to create a Shiite arc from Iran all the way to the Medditeranean.

They can also be seen dangerously close to the Golan Heights, at times even lobbing shells over into Israel, the Holy Land.
