After advising on social media that his farm wouldnt host same-sex wedding ceremonies, Steve Tennes was blocked from participating in a farmers market in East Lansing, Michigan.
CHARLOTTE, Mich. What happens when a Catholic farmer runs afoul of a city ordinance that bars discrimination based on sexual orientation?
Steve Tennes, who owns Country Mill farm and also hosts weddings on his property, found out earlier this year when the city of East Lansing blocked him from participating in a municipal farmers market after he refused to allow weddings for same-sex couples at his orchard venue.
The East Lansing Farmers Market, the largest of its kind in the area, has provided a vital revenue stream for Country Mill. And by May, Tennes a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a former U.S. Marine had filed suit in federal court, charging that the citys policy violated his constitutionally protected right to free speech, freedom of religion and equal protection.
Steve served everyone at the market, and he always has. That goes for his employees, his customers and the people he does business with, Kate Anderson, legal counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom, the Christian legal organization that is representing Tennes, told the Register.
The only complaint is that Steve holds a view that has been held by millions of people for two millennia: that marriage is between one man and one woman, said Anderson, who noted that Tennes will get his first day in court on Sept. 13, when a judge will hear his petition for a temporary injunction that would allow him to return to the market until the case is decided.

I hope folks here understand how serious these incidents are.
There are only a handful of massive internet players that are exerting their ability to filter out and control our ability to discuss our opinions.
These companies control the flow of information and are defaulting to pressure from rabid leftists that have found a way to intimidate them using PC tactics. Freedom of speech is dying at the hands of cowards that would rather attempt to placate snowflakes than engage in an honest discussion.
