Schools that are *genuinely* Christian have *absolutely* nothing in common with Planned Barrenhood.Schools that are “Christian” in the same way Bella Pelosi and John Friggin Kerry are “Christian” may well have lots and lots of things in common.

Nope...I don't need to.The question contained in the heading says it all.The only variable is how one describes "Christian".But I suppose the premise is that we're taking certain schools at their word when they claim to be "Christian".

IIRC Notre Dame had Barack Hussein Obama, self admitted Communist and one who's never really tried very hard to convince anyone that he's not an atheist,as a speaker a few years back.No truly Christian school would ever do that.

Nope...I don't need to.

I really think you should.

Christ himself sought out sinners, and said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

This girl has indicated she is contrite, which is a sign of seeking that forgiveness.

Who among us all is perfect?

Yes,I was taught that God is willing to forgive any sin when the sinner has genuine contrition.

Who among us all is perfect?

I'm certainly not...but I've never sunk so low as to kill without a good reason.

Yes, and he also said "go and sin no more".

He never said, "since you are sorry there will never be any consequences."

That is where many people seem to go astray.

Saul had to go through years of his fellow Christians distrusting him because of his actions prior to becoming a Christian.

Never did he whine and cry that their actions would push him out of the church.

He was very grateful to those who gave him a chance but did not condemn those who took a "wait and see" attitude.

He understood that consequences are part of life.

Glad to hear you say that.

Though if this school could still be brought back into conformity with scripture, would that not be a good thing?

I thought this video was compelling enough to recommend it.

Nope.

If you would care to write it up I will read the transcript but I do not watch videos.

Nothing in any video will change anything I wrote however which was in response to your post.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

You want a “written summary” then I’ll give you the “Morgana Notes” (not Cliff notes)

The “baby” is the problem not premarital sex with most people who run Christian schools.

If they found out a girl or a boy were having premarital sex they would take them to the office and “counsel” them. Same if they found out a girl was having premarital sex, was using contraception or and had an abortion. However none of these kids, boys or girls would be kicked from school.

The only one to be kicked from school is the girl who gets pregnant and does not have an abortion. The message here is “the baby is the problem”. These Christian schools could sit down with Planned Parenthood and agree! The baby is evidence of the crime thus the baby must go.

The message these Christians schools send is “get rid of the baby”. So the girl after the case of Maddi Runkles will have an abortion. Either because the girl does not want to go through this or her parents will say “look what happened to that girl Maddi Runkles, you will not put our family thought is and will graduate!” Thus an abortion will happen.

Good video.

Pregnancy is beautiful. These people are mistaken.

If the girl goes, the boy who got her pregnant should go.

NO ONE gets pregnant in a vacuum.

This penalizing the girl and letting the guy get off scott free is a horrible double standard.

Thank you for summary.

I read but I do not watch videos.

Did she get kicked from school or was she just told she could not walk with her class?

I agree that the punishment should be co-ed. But a baby does change things.

My point in my earlier post remains.

Actions have consequences.

When you bring in a third innocent into it then the consequences multiply.

She was punished. She was given an two day suspension back in January plus agreed to speak at an assembly.

Now this suspension? That is the same suspension the school gives to students who say get drunk/do drugs over the weekend and get caught. She was punished for having sex out of wedlock.

So why did they turn around and give her more punishment because she got pregnant? See the point? They are in fact saying “the baby is the problem”. They don’t continue to punish other students who got drunk one weekends by saying well you too can’t graduate, no only her.

The message they are sending is quite clear “have an abortion” and don’t be pregnant on this campus.
