The pope loudly speaks out against the death penalty for monstrous criminals. But not even a whisper against the murder of the most innocent.

The pro-life movement is mostly comprised of the laity. Some Holy Religious do in fact contribute their voices, yet I do NOT hear any encouragement from the Vatican.
