"Many refuse to face up to the Church's work of self-destruction"

ROME (ChurchMilitant.com) - Prelates may fearlessly speak out on social justice issues like immigration and poverty only to fall silent on the real crisis of faith overwhelming the Church.

During an April 18 interview with Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), an international Catholic charity, Cdl. Robert Sarah made this point. "The Church is gravely mistaken as to the nature of the real crisis if she thinks that her essential mission is to offer solutions to all the political problems relating to justice, peace, poverty, the reception of migrants, etc. while neglecting evangelization," he said.

During his address delivered earlier this month at a liturgical conference held in Germany, the prefect for the Congregation of Divine Worship spoke in like fashion: "Many refuse to face up to the Church's work of self-destruction through the deliberate demolition of her doctrinal, liturgical, moral and pastoral foundations."

Many prelates, Cdl. Sarah observes, are complicit in this demolition of the Faith, which is at the heart of the Church crisis. As a Catholic I believe the Church is already fragmented. The schism has been in the works for a number of decades and that is why many have left the Church. It is also the reason why there are not a lot of new people coming into the Church. The old diehards will never leave, but those less committed will leave.

Sarah for Pope. Provided he has the guts to bust hundreds of John Paul II’s, Benedict’s, and Bergoglio’s appointees to janitor and chauffeur.

JPII in particular used to whine about the chaos in the Church, the disobedience of the bishops, the coming persecution and apostasy, and simultaneously appointed known heretics like Kasper—in direct exchange for money. (The German bishops threatened to cut off the millions they were sending to Poland if JPII didn’t make Kasper a Cardinal.)

As long as Cardinal Sarah believes and professes Vatican II as Catholic, he is part of the problem as well.
