In an interview published by the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, an Egyptian Jesuit has warned that the dominant strain of Islam is “a religion of the sword.”

Father Henri Boulad, a native of Egypt and former rector of the Jesuit college in Cairo, said that there is a marked contrast in the Qu’ran between the verses that Muhammad wrote in Mecca and those that he wrote after moving to Medina. The former are peaceful, he observed, but the latter—which make up most of the Qu’ran—“are an appeal for war, violence, and the struggle against Christians.”

The more bellicose form of Islam has come to dominate the life of the Muslim faith, Father Boulad said. “Moderate Islam is a heresy” from this perspective, he said.

It’s a purely antagonistic religion that’s at war with every other one. Mohammed wanted something to motivate his troops and compete against Judaism and Christianity. If they thought they could get virgin whores in the afterlife for killing Jews and Christians, they’d be willing to die in his Jihads.

Well, the “dominant strain” of smallpox is really, really bad just the same as the dominant strain of Islam is.

That doesn’t make the other strains of smallpox or Islam any less deadly.

Of the various ways to draw clear distinctions between Christ and Christians on the one hand and Mohammad and Muslims on the other: that it is a very good thing when Christians emulate Christ and a very bad thing with Muslims emulate Mohammad ... is certainly one of them.

For someone to think Islam is anything but a violent proposition requires them to loose sight of the manner of its expansion through centuries of non-stop conquests where the only delays from one battle to the next are too often those associated with the time of year or transporting troops from here to there.

It's a sworded religion that's also a sordid religion.

...said that there is a marked contrast in the Qu’ran between the verses that Muhammad wrote in Mecca and those that he wrote after moving to Medina.

The thoughtful pedophile wrote differently whether he was winning or losing.

When the murder and plunder game wasn't going his way, he was much more contrite.
