This morning I listened to Dr. David Jeremiah's sermon on John 3:16 on http://www.oneplace.com/. In his sermon, Dr. Jeremiah mentioned the numerous "John 3:16" signs displayed by football fans in the stands. He also mentioned Tim Tebow's writing that verse reference on his eyeblack. Tebow is as identified with "John 3:16" as he is with kneeling in the end zone.

He also mentioned Tim Tebow's writing that verse reference on his eyeblack. Tebow is as identified with "John 3:16" as he is with kneeling in the end zone..(for those who might be unfamiliar with the verse referenced, it reads, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.")

In the Jan 8, 2012 AFC WILD CARD PLAYOFF game between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's passing stats were 22-40, 289 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT

Tim Tebow's passing stats were 10-21, 316 YDS, 2 TD.

316 yards passing

Yards per pass average of 31.6

By the man who withstood all sorts of criticism for publicly proclaiming "John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

And God was sitting in His 'End Zone', smiling and saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

(Who says that God takes no interest or part in the affairs of men these days? Coincidence? Yeah, Riiight!)

(This is old news, but new to me and amazing!)

Thanks for posting this. I miss Tim Tebow in the NFL, but I hope things go well for him in MLB.

A friend of mine in Los Angeles noted that the Patriots comeback occurred with 3:17 left in the third quarter. When the ball was snapped the clock snapped to 3:16, and that began the greatest Superbowl comeback in history. He reflected that the end of that game is how God will set things straight again.

Doubt it.

God uses people and events like we use nouns and verbs to speak to us in prophetic ways.
