Litany of Intercession for Pope Francis [Prayer]
Silverstream Priory ^ | 2013 / 2016 | Dom Benedict Maria Andersen / Father Benedict

Posted on 01/13/2017 8:59:18 AM PST by BlessedBeGod

Benedictines, from time immemorial, have been marked by a profound piety toward the Apostolic See of Rome and the successor of St Peter. The original form of this litany was composed by Dom Benedict Maria Andersen for the time leading up to the papal conclave of 2013. It includes invocations of the blessed Apostles Peter & Paul (founders of the Church of Rome), as well as invocations of all canonised or beatified Popes. Father Benedict has adapted it into a litany of intercession for His Holiness, Pope Francis, and encourages all Catholics to pray it for the Holy Father in this critical time for the Church Catholic.

Copied and saved to a Word file, after left-justifying it. I find it hard to read text that’s centered.

That’s a blistering array of saints’ names. It will be like reading lists of descendants from “Genesis,” only Greek and Latin.

If you will pray it with simplicity of heart, may your prayers be heard, and may you be brought into closer union with The Almighty.

I might get enthused about praying for Bergoglio if I thought he was interested in getting any graces.

He knows what his job is, and he’s refusing to do it.

I don’t think praying for a man is conditioned upon our assessment of his inner spiritual disposition.

Pray for his victims.
