Dear FReepers, I hope this year to bring you Someone more than what the world is so hesitant to give you this time of year on a ‘holiday card’ –I wish to give you some words of Encouragement—Encouragement that lives and breathes today Who’s birthday we are celebrating.
The little display we have had over the years in our front yard is where we put all of our effort in decorating.
As health fails, energy dissipates and budgets get thin, the most important thing remains—speak Encouragement in whatever way you can to your family, friends, neighbors and passersby.
Jesus is the only Encouragement in the universe who loves you enough to die for you—and He did, taking the full punishment for all our sins so we could live with Him forever after we die.
For those of you who are suffering right now with the agony of physical pain for which there is no human hope or cure, Jesus wraps His arms around you and comforts you with the strength to see it thru and know that better days are ahead.
Some of us fear for our nation, looking to an uncertain future as we look back on one of the most bitterly fought and contested Presidential elections in recent memory.
We encourage you to fear not—and remember that the same Almighty God who has always been, is and always will be has everything under His perfect control.
He loves you—with all His heart—and with all his blood that He willingly gave to pay for our sins.
Come what may—that will never change.
Some of us are trapped in the past, thinking of loved ones lost, and mourning the loss of fellowship during this special time of the year.
Jesus, our Encouragement, stands beside us with an understanding heart that says “I know how you feel; I too was separated from my Father when I was dying on the Cross for you.”
The ravages of divorce…sudden and unexpected loss of employment…financial reversals…they are all real and they all hurt—badly.
Only Jesus, our Encourager, is the one person who will stand by us and give us the strength, wisdom and courage to get through it—if we only but ask Him.
Some of you know Jesus very well, and in fact are ministers of the Gospel in paid ministry.
As you look out into the crowd of faces every Sunday morning, give your congregation 30 minutes of what the Lord has distilled from you through many hours of tears and toil you wonder…will they ever get it?
Jesus, your Encourager is right there working in ways you will never know until you see them rejoicing with you in Eternity.
And, as our world wakes up every morning to yet another tragedy of man’s inhumanity, only Jesus—Encourager, Friend, Brother and Savior, can provide the answers to why all of this is happening and what needs to happen to make it end—His victorious return to Earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Be Encouraged this season by Jesus, our only real Encouragement, our only real Hope, Who’s birth we celebrate this season.
I don’t know everything you are going through right now—but Jesus does. Talk to Him now—and be encouraged.

Being of cynical mind, I’d wager a few might consider the post “presumptuous” - I say AMEN and AMEN! He is risen that we also shall be risen!

I love Advent, the season we realize not the things of the world are foremost, but that in Jesus we have faith, hope, love and peace as gifts to get and gifts to give!

With God we are never alone and all those moments we miss for some reason are moments of love HE allowed us here on His earth to do what He is, complete love! We need no iphones, no TV’s, nothing but what He gave us to listen and pray! How awesome is that??
To you sir, a simple “Amen” and “Merry Christmas.”
I believe that Jesus and His Father let us stumble up to the brink of the abyss, to let us see with our own eyes, the fate in store for us should we continue to be led by the Left.
Then, in an act of mercy and benevolence, gave us a path away from the brink and back to the Blessed Constitution He allowed to be created for us so many years ago.
The demons of the Left are wailing and gnashing their teeth as they see our souls slipping through their fingers.
