Pope Francis: Everything in Amoris Laetitia Was Supported by the Synod

The Pope said that in a synodal Church there was 'a movement from high to low'

Pope Francis has said that everything in his post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia was agreed by a majority of the Synod fathers.

In an interview (English translation) with the Belgian magazine Tertio, the Pope described his method as: “Do not descend from high to low, but listen to the churches, harmonise them, discern. And so there is a post-Synodal exhortation, which is Amoris Laetitia, which is the result of two Synods, in which all the Church worked, and which the Pope made his own. It is expressed in a harmonious way.

“It is interesting that all that it contains [Amoris Laetitia], in the Synod it was approved by more than two thirds of the fathers. And this is a guarantee. A synodal Church means that there is this movement from high to low.”

Since being issued in April, Amoris Laetitia has generated several conflicting interpretations. In particular, it has been claimed that the document signalled Pope Francis’s openness to allowing some divorced and remarried people to receive Communion even if they are not living “as brother and sister”.

He'll speak to a magazine but not to the four cardinals' dubia.

“It is interesting that all that it contains [Amoris Laetitia], in the Synod it was approved by more than two thirds of the fathers."

This is so disingenuous. I don't believe a majority of the Synods ever approved the interpretation that the church is trying to put on it now. The whole AL was written intentionally very vague to get it by the Synods. Now he is putting on an interpretation never supported by the majority of either Synod and that was obviously the intent all the time. This is very deceptive and intentionally so.

Liar! Liar! Cassock on fire!

Both synods voted down Bergoglio’s heresies. That’s why he had such a hissy fit at the end, condemning the bishops and Cardinals as “pharisees,” and “judges who like to sit in the seat of Moses.”

He is an open, overt, artless, shameless LIAR! He’s not even attempting to hide it anymore.

AL didn’t “get by” the synods. It was never shown to them. They never voted on it. What they voted on was their own final documents.

And they REJECTED Bergoglio’s heresies.

He is not “disingenuous.” He is a bald-faced LIAR! And a stupid liar, to boot.

I doubt that ALL the Cardinals approved.

Not to mention that no synod or Pope has the authority to enact doctrinal reversals. Bergoglio is as slippery as they come.

Is he saying there is consensus among 97% of the church?

He’s completely trapped and he knows it. That’s why Pope Humble was reportedly “boiling with rage” when the Cardinals went public with the dubia.

If he answers “NO” then his heretical program is dead in the water.

If he answers “YES” then he has committed objective heresy and will hasten the (inevitable IMHO) schism.

Bergolio is a liar. And he has been one for quite awhile.

Then ... he would be wise to answer "No" then ....

Many scales are falling off many eyes.

He's got it backwards.

The Synods were meant to be railroad jobs which rubber-stamped the already-written AL but things didn't go as planned, starting with the outrageous interim relatio of the 2014 Extraordinary Synod, which caused an uproar.

The whole thing was a transparent, orchestrated attempt to endorse Kasper's "serene theology" which had already been incorporated into the drafts of AL.

Precisely so, and I have been telling everyone, especially my Catholic family and friends, that he is a liar and a huge embarrassment to Christians around the world. In my view, he’s already done more damage to the Church than all of the Reformers did.

Exactly, and I speak with some experience with them, having received an MA degree from a Jesuit university.

Most like before he even entered the Jesuit order, where he learned how to fine tune the art of deception.

A synodal Church means that there is this movement from high to low.

And Jorge is going about as low as he can go. Pretty soon, he'll be bunking with Lucifer.
