BALTIMORE, Maryland, November 14, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – An excommunicated Catholic priest and LGBT activist stormed the altar during the homily at a U.S. bishops' Mass on Monday evening to protest Church doctrine on homosexuality.

Video from the Archdiocese of Baltimore shows the man entering the sanctuary and kissing the altar--something a priest does at the beginning of Mass--and then unfurling a sign. The sign's full message is not clear in the video, which then turned away from the protester. An observer tweeted that the sign asked the Catholic Church to "stop persecuting gays."

According to Vatican observer Rocco Palmo, it was ex-Maryknoll priest Father Roy Bourgeois. Bourgeois was laicized in 2012 for participating in a women's "ordination" ceremony. Bourgeois was escorted out.

Maryknoll seems like a strange bunch, from what I’ve seen.

He can’t just go find any number of denominations that would welcome him with open arms?

He’s a drama queen; he needs the attention. In the Episcopal Church, he’d be just another fag. No big deal.

Maryknoll was once a very good order. My father studied in a Maryknoll seminary for six years and is heartbroken by what they have become. On the plus side, though, one of his classmates was Fr. Vincent Capodanno, a Maryknoll Navy chaplain who was known as the Grunt Padre. He was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his ministry to his company of Marines during a harrowing battle in Vietnam, and for giving his life attempting to save the company corpsman. His cause for sainthood has been introduced.

Notice the silent shepherds sitting on their rumps. Typical of the USSCB.

“Maryknoll seems like a strange bunch, from what I’ve seen.”

They are these days. Up until the 1960s they were fantastic missionaries. The order then went pretty liberal.

Oh, so it’s the Church’s doctrine. Guess they never bothered reading the Bible.

Maybe gays should stop rebelling against The Lord instead?

I know: silly of me to suggest that.

Scripture says that He should be found right in His judgments even though that makes all men liars. But in these “enlightened” times men are self assured that they can correct God.

Boy, will such folks be in for a surprise if they persist!

LGBT is now LGBTQ, the final letter meaning "questioning." They are ALL sad sacks who simply REFUSE to believe God's words.

Someday there WILL be a reckoning for all of them and it WON'T be pretty.

I said the exact same thing but with slightly different wording.

That day of RECKONING will come to us all. I want to be as ready for that as I can be.

Yeppers.

Still, I look out over a landscape full of folks who think they are good people (even though they lie, cheat, philander, and even murder the helpless) and I consider of Isaiah’s commission where he saw Him, His holiness revealed, and he despaired of life saying that he was a man of unclean lips among a people of unclean lips.

I’ve taken that to mean that there were things done in his culture that Isaiah considered harmless, or even good, that he suddenly realized were far from good.

If I had to guess (also recalling what Christ said about letting our yes be yes and our no be no) it may be that in that culture they were a little too free with “as The Lord lives” or swearing oaths.

How many folks today do you imagine might think they’d come away smelling like a rose after such and encounter?

But Isaiah was certainly mighty in the righteousness that could come from the Law. Moreover he was a ministering priest who would have had ceremonial holiness on top of that. Isaiah was a big deal ... and yet his anguished cry that should haunt everyone of us, and not just those who don’t think their poop don’t stink.

God provided cleansing for Isaiah. He provides one way to be clean now ... and you’re right to point out that we can’t choose for anyone else.

(aside: earlier when I typed “ministering” the autocorrect replaced it with “mine roasting” ... this thing is out to get me, I swear it is!)

Uncompliant with the demands of the Gaystapo anywhere means that somewhere people may not approve of The Gay ... which just won’t do!

What the Gaystapo needs is some way to identify their supporters and punish their opponents. Maybe a mark on the head or hand without which you can’t buy or sell will be what they finally settle on?
