New Poll: Trump up 13 Points with Catholics (22 points with Protestants)

It seems referring to the Catholic Church as a “Middle Ages dictatorship” and religious Americans as “backwards” might just cost you in the polls.

Donald Trump is up 13 points against Hillary Clinton among American Catholics, according to a new IBD/TIPP Presidential Election Tracking Poll out Nov. 2. The same poll reports that Trump is up 22 points with American Protestants.

This stunning new poll is a dramatic change from numbers reported earlier, particularly before the Clinton campaign’s disparaging emails about Catholics were leaked.

In the now infamous “Catholic Spring” emails, Sandy Newman, president and founder of the progressive nonprofit Voices for Progress, wrote to John Podesta concerning the tenets of the Catholic faith and how to convince this often socially conservative voting bloc to come out for Clinton....

Wowsers. If true, along with the >=15% of black vote, I’m getting my “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” song queued up on the morning of Nov 9th.

I’d be shocked if this is true, but I’m hoping it is!

If we didn’t have all those “hispanic catholics” I think Catholics would be up around 18 percent.

Well, we dont want a “Catholic Spring”. Very damning email and hammered home at the churches.

These would be crazy numbers if true. Catholics broke 50/48 for Obama in 2012. Romney won Protestants by 25%, so that’s a 3% drop.

Obama won the Catholic vote by 2 points, while Romney won the Protestant votes by 13 points. Even if this poll is a bit optimistic, Trump is outperforming Romney with both groups.

This landslide talk may be true....Hussein and Mitt SPLIT the Catholic vote:

If Trump truly turns this around, lights out for Hitlery.

Frankly I’m surprised about this, given that it seems most Catholics in the US blindly vote Dem and are uncatechized and clueless on what the Church teaches and are in the Ted Kennedy/Nancy Pelosi mold of valuing the mores of the world rather than the Church.

If Hillary loses, Church bells across America should ring, joyfully proclaiming a victory for the faithful.

If Trump takes the blue collar workers and the catholics away from the Democrats plus blacks don’t show up, she has no chance. Period.

Abortion = Intrinsic Evil

Hillary is a proponent of unlimited abortion.

For a Catholic I don’t know how you get around this.

Maybe the Catholics and Protestants can stomach abortion but draw the line at Weiner.....

Hope it's true.

There has been a strong movement to fix that. Many bishops have spoken out this year. That helps.

I wouldn’t be. I’m Catholic I’ve turned 10 to 15 voters to Trump and 2 to skip voting for president. Of those I turned, many couldn’t wait to talk to their relatives and friends so that could be multiplied. Also, I approached those people because I was pretty sure they were leaning Hillary.

You pretend not to know or you use Capital Punishment to balance the abortion issue.

I don’t sugar coat, I tell them outright that voting for Hillary would be a mortal sin when there is a pro-life candidate to vote for and then I point out the non-negotiables.
