Uh, that depends. The Missouri Synod and some of the much smaller ones are still fairly conservative.

Luther wouldn’t recognize the liberal “Lutherans” in Sweden, Germany or the USA for that matter.

So true.
If he were around today he might RETURN to the Church fold.

yes, He needs to concentrate on the things like bringing people to the Church, helping fallen away Catholics, saving Christians in the middle east, abortion, gay marriage, etc. He’s just too welcoming of every religion opposed to Catholicism. Reminds me of Obama, loves everyone that hates his country. Francis loves everyone who hates Catholics, to the point of eradicating them. You can only go so far with loving your enemies.

Well, I have 73 things wrong with you on my list, so only 22 more to go before I deliver them.

All the other denominations branches of any groups he meets with are liberal. They are all into the syncretism and unionism.

My lutheran denomination wouldnt be part of this phoniness.

I have to say BS to this. I am a Catholic myself so I believe I can address this. The CATHOLIC CHURCH can learn alot from Luther. Catholic church goers did not offer absolutions for cash nor did they try to hide pedophile priests, the CATHOLIC CHURCH did. I love my religion. I detest my Church.

Since Jesus had NO CHOICE but to leave His Church to humans, he KNEW that there would be MANY problems.
Even PETER denied Jesus THREE times.
Besides, we are called to LOVE the sinner and HATE the sin.
Sin is part and parcel of the human experience so if you don't know that by now then you haven't been out of the barn in quite a while.

At least the Church has tried to repair the damage done within the Church. The other Christian faiths don't all have that kind of damage repair. All they can do is FIRE the unwanted reverend and send him/her on his/her way.

Or maybe there is NO room for ANY ERROR in "your" church and thus you will continue to DETEST her.
Maybe you WOULD have cast that first stone!

SO CHANGE. Being a non-Catholic Christian is easy as pie.

*No confession. You just say or think "Sorry, Lord" and you are forgiven even if you commit the same sin 100 times a day.
**No repentance for sins since saying "Sorry, Lord" is always sufficient.
***No REQUIRED Sunday service attendance, EVER, not even Christmas and Easter.
****No holy days of obligations.
*****No fasting.
******No abstinence.
*******Divorce-remarriage as MANY TIMES as you want. Liz Taylor beat out Henry VIII in that category.
********Homosexual unions? SURE, why not? See the article on the lesbian bishop.
*********Abortion on demand for the unwanted fetus. Girls and women always have the right to cut out that little sucker whenever they want, as many times as they want.
**********No more tedious rosary recitations.
***********No required Confession and Holy Communion twice a year.
************You may interpret God's words in the Bible AS YOU LIKE.

Those TEN COMMANDMENTS simply become
those ten suggestions.

For whom did you write the list? Who is the "you"?
the Pope?
the cardinals who elected him?
your local bishop?

Just curious.

The Pope. I was making a reference to Luther's 95 Theses.

For a moment there I thought he was referring to Lucifer. He is almost there.

I think it was more complex than that. According to one analysis I read, he was hopeful that the Jews would convert to Christianity, spent a lot of time reaching out to them, and when they did not convert, he was beyond disappointed to the point of bitterness. And this occurred at the end of his life when he had given up on what he perceived as a lost cause which he had invested a lot of effort in. I’d have to read more to know if I’m remembering this correctly, so I’m not necessarily disputing your statement. Just saying there may be more to the story.

You don’t know what you’re saying. Jesus Christ didn’t found a religion. He founded the Church.

I remember when you could emphasize your words by saying “Is the Pope a Catholic? Rabbi Jewish? Bear crap in the woods?”

I am still confident in the rabbi and the bear....

Just like the US isn’t obama, the Catholic church isn’t the Pope. It’s we, the people.

I would support the most conservative Bishop to make a move and confront the Pope about his destructive path.

The Pope’s a man. If he says it’s ok to do this or that now, and I know it isn’t, well, I have to answer to God first.

“The only solace is that there have been worse and the Church has survived.”

Well you are kinda right... the Church of Jesus Christ will survive until He takes it out at the rapture. So technically the church of Rome will last longer (on earth) since it will suffer the fate of Thyatira and undergo the tribulation.

Once again, Papa Francisco disgraces himself and embarrasses over a billion Catholics.

You guys need to get with the program...No doubt most Catholics don't know what the bible says or what your Catholic church teaches...So they will go wherever your pope leads...

Your pope hopes to be the single leader of all Christians upon the earth...And it appears he is having a lot of success with the main stream Protestant religions...But he can only do that by bending the rules to meet them part way...

Of course there are some churches that will never succumb to the onslaught such as Independent Baptist churches and some Pentecostal churches and some others...

You guys better hold on for the ride or you'll become the new Protestants...But what's your pope going to tell everyone when all those millions upon millions of Catholic affiliated christisans won't fit thru that 'narrow gate'??? Oh, that's right...That's not literal anyway...
