Hosea 4:1-3 Being Fulfilled Before Our Very Eyes

Consider the words of Hosea 4:1-3, God's judgment on the land that is tainted by widespread, unrestrained sin:

Hear the word of the Lord, you Israelites,
because the Lord has a charge to bring
against you who live in the land:
“There is no faithfulness, no love,
no acknowledgment of God in the land.
There is only cursing, lying and murder,
stealing and adultery;
they break all bounds,
and bloodshed follows bloodshed.
Because of this the land dries up,
and all who live in it waste away;
the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky
and the fish in the sea are swept away.

Now ponder these alarming figures reported by the BBC:

Global wildlife populations have fallen by 58% since 1970, a report says.

The Living Planet assessment, by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and WWF, suggests that if the trend continues that decline could reach two-thirds among vertebrates by 2020.

The figures suggest that animals living in lakes, rivers and wetlands are suffering the biggest losses.

This post is so important, so VERY true, I chaff at the absence of this irrefutable truth, the very EARTH will vomit out the inhabitants of the land for the wickness of the people. Someday, a smarter generation will arise that recognizes that violence is no friend of LIFE on Earth. That the first one to spill blood brought a curse upon himself and the LAND. Nothing goes well. Even if people apparently try hard to cover it up.

See - I don’t know if I can believe that number. I know based on reports in the US that wildlife is encroaching more into the suburbs and heck just yesterday they were reporting Elk in SC.

Now is it down in 3rd world hell holes? I don’t know .. very likely I suppose. But 58%? They are saying in the last 50 years that over 1/2 of the worlds wildlife has been eliminated. OVER 1/2....that I find very hard to believe.
