Wow...just a coincidence, I’m sure, but this morning I had to write a check to the plumber for $313.00.

Heh, well here's another "coincidence":

As soon as I posted that I got up to refill my coffee and spouse (who was already in the kitchen) says, "Hey wow look, there's this albino dove outside. We've never had one like this before... what is it?"

So I look out the window and sure enough, we'd never had that type appear before. Not albino (had some minor black markings), but it was this *super bright* white. So white is looked almost reflective.

On one hand, it was "just a white dove", OTOH...

Well I went on to explain what I had just posted about peace, and voila... the dove appeared. A bright white "random" dove outta nowhere. Stuck around for as long as my explanation continued, then it left right after that.

Furthermore, yesterday we had had a conversation about the odd etymology of the Greek/Latin columbus/columba (dove), being rooted in diving and pools... talking about the use in the NT i.e. the pool of Bethesda (house of chesed) in Jerusalem, people diving in for healing... and how did *that* word come to mean "dove", esp. because the Greek/NT word for dove is something entirely different.

Well, maybe I just had that question answered. What else comes "out of Jerusalem"? Healing waters. Dive on in! :)

This is what I was reading yesterday re "doves" (relating to the word for pool):

John 5

1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Made "whole", on the Sabbath. Whole = peace. "The same as... [H8003]." IOW, a body completely at "rest".

>>>In post-biblical Judaism, souls are envisioned as bird-like (Bahir 119), a concept that may be derived from the Biblical notion that dead spirits "chirp" (Isa. 29:4). The Guf, or Treasury of Souls is sometimes described as a columbarium, a dove cote. This connects it to a related legend: the "Palace of the Bird's Nest," the dwelling place of the Messiah's soul until his advent (Zohar II: 8a-9a). The Vilna Gaon explicitly declares that a dove is a symbol of the human soul (Commentary to Jonah, 1). The dove is also a symbol of the people Israel (Song of Songs Rabbah 2:14), an image frequently repeated in Midrash.<<<

There's something about plumbers and flowing water.

Eze 47

1. And he brought me back to the door of the house; and, behold, waters flowed from under the threshold of the house eastward; for the front of the house faced to the east, and water run out from beneath the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar...

It goes on.
