How do we have it that Jesus puts some things that aren’t physically even close to murder, as tantamount to it?
Could this be pointing to a broader meaning — perhaps as the temptation of believers into sin (requiring the payment of Christ’s blood on its behalf, and yet the tempters suffer vengeance)?
Physical abortions, though visibly horrifying, might be only the tip of the iniquity iceberg that the Lord is getting at.
