This pope, compared to other popes, says some bizarre things. And this is one of them.
We need a psychiatrist if we read any political meaning into a meeting of the pope and a major presidential candidate?? That means we are not all there in the head??? Really Pope Francis???

I have had great respect for previous popes such as John Paul II, but this guy is a piece of work, in my opinion.
To my mind, religion and politics shouldn’t be mixed, particularly for the titular head of a large membered religion. I believe there are far more basic tenets that should be encouraged rather than succumbing to some past-life political bent and a desire to affect politics in an religiously inappropriate way.
Just my opinion, like many, many others’. Take with the salt of each’s personal preference.
