This week's EWTN show, "The World Over", with Raymond Arroyo (04/14/16), featured this segment, which was a critical discussion by Father Gerald Murray, Robert Royal, and the host of the show, Raymond Arroyo, on the Apostolic Exhortation entitled "Amoris Laetitia", written by Pope Francis.

It was actually quite shocking to me to see a show on EWTN (with a panel discussion that included a well-known priest) which was critical of the Pope's writing, and which pointed out a number of problems contained there in his latest writing.   They were all expressing (in a respectful way) where they disagreed with the words of Pope Francis in this writing he produced.

(In a way, this EWTN show was gently carrying on the tradition started by Mother Angelica, of "speaking truth to power", even to bishops when she felt that was called for, but I was still quite surprised to see the negative criticisms expressed in this discussion.)

I believe this short discussion by faithful Catholics on EWTN sheds extremely important and even essential light on this new writing by Pope Francis.

Ping for a thread of an EWTN youtube video clip which contains a discussion on the new Apostolic Exhortation "Amoris Laetitia", by Pope Francis.   (I believe this is a very important -- and startling -- discussion on EWTN of this new writing by the Pope, and its shortcomings.)
