Fears are growing for a priest believed to have been kidnapped by ISIS as sickening reports suggest he may be crucified on Good Friday.
Father Tom Uzhunnalil was seized when four armed militants stormed an old people's home in Aden in Yemen on March 4.
The gunmen killed 16 people, including four nuns in the brutal attack.
No group has come forward to claim responsibility for the kidnap of the priest, who was a member of the Silesian order in of Bangalore, India, but a survivor said ISIS was to blame.
Now reports shared on social media suggest the priest faces being brutally tortured this Friday as Christians mark the day Jesus died.
The Franciscan Sisters of Siessen , based in South Africa, posted on Facebook: "Was informed that the Salesian priest, Fr.Tom who was kidnapped by ISIS from the Missionaries of Charity Home in Yemen is being tortured and is going to be crucified on Good Friday.
"This calls for serious concerted prayers from all of us."

The Salesians released this statement today but bottom line, prayers are still needed for Fr. Tom:
Fr Mathew Valarkot described the reports as “unconfirmed and unverifiable”. He said: “We, Salesians, are not responsible for the content or its authenticity.
“In this context, we reiterate that till date no further information has come to us from credible and authoritative sources regarding the whereabouts or wellbeing of Fr Tom. Therefore we earnestly appeal to all concerned to desist from forwarding all such unsolicited and misleading messages and spreading false rumours.
“In the meantime, let us continue to pray for Fr Tom so that the Lord may protect him from all harm and relieve him from the clutches of the evil forces sooner than later.”

Let us hope he does not have to go through that horrible death. If he does die that way he is certainly a holy martyr taken into paradise.

Islam is not at war with anyone and it’s a peaceful religion. However, they sure like to go after Jews and Christians. But, it’s not religious.

I’m not real savvy on how you folks do this, but one of you with the prayer list ought to start a thread (or ping to this one) that The Good Lord would find some human agency to aid this priest.
For my part I pray, Father in Heaven, not on any merit of my own, but on the Saving Grace of Our Lord Jesus, Your Beloved Son, that You would inspire and move some rough but good men to do the hard deeds and spare you servant.
And send Your blessings to protect all of the Christian believers being persecuted for their faith on You.
(And as a footnote Dear Lord - I’m personally not picky on whether the saving involves airstrikes and/or Black Ops or if the guys you send happen to speak Russian.)

Fr. Tom has been missing since March 4, the day ISIS raided the old folks' home and slaughtered 12 of the helpless elderly (whom they shackled to their beds and then shot in the head) and four Missionaries of Charity. One --- Sr. Sally, MC --- survived to tell what had happened.
